  4. Not much help on the bulk leaches, but by far the best smallie bait after a live crayfish..., but gone are those days.
  5. Some warm water there! Almost 10 degrees warmer than what we were fishing this weekend past.
  6. Going into the waves I generally plant the bow and take it slow. In a following seas I like to be moving a little faster than the waves like everyone says you just gotta find the sweet spot.

  10. If it's a threat to yourself or others your are within all rights to shoot it yourself . Its best to prevent encounters with bears in the first place. But if a bear continues to be a problem and youve exhausted all other alternatives as a property owner, you have the right to protect your personal property and yourself. Any action you take must be: carried out with the most humane means possible done in a safe manner in accordance with any applicable laws (e.g., discharging a firearm by-laws) You do not need a hunting licence. But if you kill a black bear, you must report it immediately to your local Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. If you want to keep the dead animal for personal use, you must register for whats called a Notice of Possession with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. It is strongly advised that killing a bear in self-defence be an action of last resort.
  11. I will not fish Muskie, I will not fish Muskie, I will not fish Muskie.....anyone want to take me Muskie fishing?
  12. When they are spawning, I have also had a hard time getting them to bite. And no pink shirts, that's what the guys from northeastern Ontario tell me.
  13. Worms down south. I will eat a smalllies out of a cold lake or river.
  14. Don't get me wrong, a bear that close to the big city is more than likely hungry, and not scared of humans. Wouldn't think twice about shooting it myself.
  15. One of the stories in the book, Reid said, describes an interesting time in his career when he worked alongside two SWAT teams to capture a bear that escaped from the Stevensville zoo. “Before I could get there, [the bear] was actually just sitting on a farmer’s front porch at midnight on their couch,” said Reid. “[The farmer] went outside and saw the bear and panicked.” When the SWAT team arrived they set off a stun grenade, and Reid said the bear ran off before he could get to the site. Throughout the next day, the bear was on the loose in town. “They actually shut down the whole town. They had to cordon off the area until we got this bear,” he said. “We had two SWAT teams and they really wanted to shoot the bear, so I had to convince them that we could use my little pea shooter of a dart gun and dart him, capture him and bring him back.” Surrounded by news reporters and camera crews, Reid said he was 40 hours without sleep by the time it was all over, but memories of that day back in August 2007 still stick with him so vividly even seven years later. “It was a wild situation, but it had a good outcome,” he said.
  16. My uncle is a vet and the OPP have called him on occasion to tranquilize escaped creatures from zoos, and wild things around the Niagara region. He is a large animal vet with experience with big cats, bears, giraffes ect ect. Maybe police should have a vet on call for these situations?
  17. Pull the carb, disassemble , clean...and put it back together the way it came a part. If there are any adjustment screws one trick is to count the turns IN until fully seated before you take them out that way when you re assemble they will be in the right ballpark .
  18. Beauty trip, I haven't been on a canoe trip in a while. The wife's arms get sore after the first day
  19. I just moved into my house a year ago, I could tell you most of my neighbours work schedules, what they drive and when they generally come and go. Im not nosey, I'm just in sales and fairly observant. I can understand your anxiety, one of my neighbours is a group home ( for substance abuse recovery) and the wife has said similar things to me before. I didn't say anything but the wife never leaves the house walking without our bulldog x Rottweiler .
