  1. It all started one fateful summer day 3 years ago . We met him at the docks bright and early for my first ever taste of lake ont. Fishing. We motored out It was a slow start and I was wary of our witty captain But soon the action started And soon our arms were sore and we were begging to quit But our captain would not let us stop until we had double digits of fish for our morning charter This was the genesis of my obsession Over the next few years I used many coping mechanisms such as buying my first boat, only just big enough to get out on lake O on the finest of days. Hitched rides with buddies But but there was only one solution to spiral of obsession http://s101.photobucket.com/user/aninaa/media/image.jpg1_zpseemo60wp.jpg.html][/ This was taken the day I dragged her home, she now sits tuned up , lower unit gone through, waxed and washed with a 15 hp kicker and a new mooring cover ready to go, as soon as work and weather cooperate I would like to give some big thanks to a few members for helping me along the way Fisherpete Thanks for the trips out and aiding in my addiction as well as the great deals on many rods reels rod holders ect. Pikeslayer for the trips out , and teaching me a bunch. And all others that have sold me stuff to get her rigged. Now to catch a fish and name her. Tight lines. I have a feeling this is only the beginning,
  2. And I'm not saying all teachers , just the ones who complain.
  3. What irks me is when teachers whine about working from home.....I'm on salary for one of the biggest companies in Canada. If I didn't work from home after hours no way I could get my job done.... Deal with it or go get an hourly wage job somewhere. Rant over.
  4. I've killed way more rainbows with siwash hooks over trebles. Rainbows always seem to take em in the brain.
  5. We have tons around Alliston . My folks have 4 small dogs, chickens cattle and horses. Never seen one in the "yard". Even at night they stay on their side of the fencleline. We can be having a bonfire and they will come up about 100 yards away, but never had a problem. I don't think I would shoot one unless it was sick and brave, they look to much like my pets I guess. Raccoons on the other hand get shot on sight, they make a horrible mess in the barns and eat the chickens.
  6. Anyone loose an engine cover in wasaga beach?

  7. I have a water leak sensor, and a thermostat that notifies me by phone if there are issues, I should talk to my insurance company to see if that is adequate.
  8. That's who my new boat it with. Just insured it this week so I've never had to make a claim but they were easy to deal with no survey, and few restrictions.
  9. Someone on another board is hooking me up. Now maybe I can go fishing this weekend.
  10. Any one have a mercruiser engine alignment tool I could borrow for a day? I'm in kitchener.
  11. Nice fish, to bad about the brake line.
  12. Just coyotes being coyotes , nothing to fret about.
  13. Nope but she is a beauty.
  14. Nice, I started my motors yesterday and changed the oil. I'm going through the lower unit tomorrow new bellows gimbal bearing and waterpump. Still need to mount riggers and rod holders. I figure I will be out there in a few more weeks.
  15. Wrong alcohol. Isopropyl is more like a solvent. Ethanol is in gas.
  16. Your on the wrong side of the lake for most of the spring fishing. I'm sure early in the year you could fish the mudlines and pickup rainbows.
  17. Anyone know where to buy it buy the gallon?
  18. I wasn't trying to put what you did down , just wanted to make sure you were informed.
  19. I don't believe in snake oils for motors. But seafoam is the real deal. Coming from a certified gear head ex mechanic.
  20. Some pressure treat will eat an aluminum boat. Not sure which one to watch out for but you may want to look into it.
