  1. Westin has "Danny the duck" too. Also, this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_E4BUt1z8Y Cheers, Mark
  2. Beautiful shots Lew! Thanks for that I remember the Picton Castle and avidly watched the show back then when the "Canada's Worst Driver" host was on it. I even briefly considered going on the ship until I found out how much they charge you to work on their ship. Glad you got time to enjoy the Maritimes again. Cheers, Mark
  3. Now you can mentally prepare the boat and have the prior discussion if a bigger fish is hooked to have someone tilt up the motor. More fish landed...yes please.
  4. Use this as an opportunity to review your landing procedure and setup, and see where you might lessen the chances of a repeat. We all learn through experience. Your emotion and your concern for the fishes well-being speak well of you and the success of all future encounters. Cheers, Mark
  5. Cdn. Tire also carries them. I think they are CDN made in Wiarton, ON (?) Uncle has used one on his Stoves for years. Loves 'em. Cheers, Mark
  6. I was still under the impression you could get the good 'ole "regular" Roundup at Farm supply shops and the like. Like TSC. Not true?
  7. Beauty fish! Nicely done sir! Cheers, Mark
  8. Set out a Blue beach ball, hat, plastic solo cup, etc. covered with Tanglefoot, keeps the last ones from bugging you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg3HQ8Alo7A Cheers, Mark
  9. The "big net" Tom is referring to is used like he said as a livewell in the water. So, big enough for the biggest Muskie you could perhaps hook into to stay horizontal in while in the water. All of the unhooking and such is done while the fish remains in the net. I hope you get into some because you have some absolutely beautiful shots. But, as Tom alluded, be wary of elevated summer temps just as I am sure you are with summer Trout. Cheers, Mark
  10. These guys will ship as well. CDN http://www.cerka.ca/catalog/coupler_folding.asp Cheers, Mark

  13. Echo the used trailer thoughts. But then... Nice Pickaroon! Cheers, Mark
  14. Have you called the the Nipigon area MNR office?
  15. Some better shots. It does look like everything is right in the same place. https://www.facebook.com/TheTobermoryPressInc/?fref=ts Cheers, Mark
  16. Just get Bubbles to give you a boost from his lawnmower. Eh Ray?
  17. Glad all is well. You are missed. Cheers, Mark
  18. Lots of examples on Youtube. Go as elaborate or Brockian as you want! Cheers, Mark
  19. For a bare minimum, a pfd would save the families more grief as the "search" would be over quicker. Spare the rescuers and "recovery" teams as well. Beside affording you a longer window for rescue of course. I always think of not me falling into the water but, being hit by an out of control Jetski or Wake boarder. Cheers, Mark
  20. Lee Valley, a canadian company has an amazing assortment of sharpening supplies(Stones, pastes, Strops, water baths, dvds, books, etc.) Here is some of their Japanese stones which work on the hardest steels. http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=67089&cat=1,43072,67175 And their broader sharpening asst. http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?cat=1&p=43072 Cheers, Mark

  22. I haven't seen any mention if they were wearing PFDs or not. The river is so narrow in that area...it truly is baffling.
  23. Are those Ice Armor, Frabill ones Coast guard approved? I know the Mustang, Buoy-o-Boy,and the Helly Hansen ones are because they have Flotation inserted and tested("Floater suits"). Besides saving your life on the ice, you can use them in the boat for early or late season fishing and still be legal and safe. Cheers, Mark
  24. 4 snowmobiles fall through the ice on Lake Pusey. Three get out and one rider still missing. http://globalnews.ca/news/2487762/2-dead-1-missing-after-separate-snowmobile-crashes-in-ontario/ Mark
