  1. Congrats on a super day, superdad. And nice to see a report involving Steve Hamilton, there was a thread asking about him recently. Mike
  2. Hey, even a small report is welcome at this time of year. Congrats on getting rid of the smell of skunk... Mike
  3. Multi-species, I fish whenever I can but will target certain species depending on season and the lake we're going to. Trout in the early spring (though not last year), panfish in April/May, then pike & walleye usually open, mostly bass in July & August, and then bass, pike, or muskie in the Fall. Don't usually target 'eyes, except for a couple of hours around dusk at the cottage lake. Have never targeted carp, catfish, etc. Mike
  4. Congrats on 'bow #2... Mike
  5. I'm always sorry to see a long-time member leave the board, for whatever reasons.... Mike
  6. I think Shaun R. posted a report from just a few days ago, some really big 'eyes were caught... Mike
  7. Tried it once only, didn't think much of it but I'm going to try again this winter, and hopefully catch a fish or two and see what the fuss is about... Mike
  8. THere have been some amazing piking reports from that part of Ontario, hopefully someday I'll make it up myself. Mike
  9. You gave it a try, and that's what counts. Mike
  10. Very, very close.... Just a few more posts will do it... Mike
  11. I like mono, used it for years and only recently switched to braided + fluoro this year. I think both have their advantages & disadvantages. I would put mono on one of my extra rods for a guest who doesn't fish much, more forgiving like you said. I like the sensitivity of braided + fluoro, so I'm happy I mostly made the switch. Mike
  12. Amazing, now I'm thinking we might not see a last report from you until Dec 31, 11:59 pm... Mike
  13. I'm impressed, an openwater small boat report in mid-December. Well done! Mike
  14. I've got a favorite hat & t-shirt that I try to remember to wear when I go out for a day, but I don't always remember to. Mike
  15. Nice fish, I've been to the Soo a couple of times but never fished while I was there. Mike

  17. Sounds like a fun time, and lots of free stuff is a good thing too... Mike
  18. ua1990, I think it's too late for your homework but I've been finding that Google will only take you so far. Try one of the meta-search engines, which will get the results from Google, Yahoo, etc. e.g., Metacrawler or Dogpile. Mike
  19. Okay, what did I miss THIS time??? Mike
  20. Always fun seeing urban reports from you snag. Mike
  21. Wow! Mike
  22. Mo, It's really easy to do, and doesn't take long. I was in Alberta too and fishing with spinners, pinching down the barbs on a treble took no time at all. Mike
  23. Thanks for the note here, hang in there and give the little guy an extra hug. Mike
  24. Congrats for figuring it out, and for some nice pics too... Mike
