  1. here's a report, same lake, different lodge, they went to Rock Lake too https://www.canadafishingguide.net/the-family-fly-in-chronicles-a-trip-to-lodge-eighty-eight/
  2. Just curious, why do you guys mix so lean? I know good oil is expensive, to save a few bucks? less smoke? I would be worried moving parts aren't getting properly lubricated. The way I understand it, the recommended mix will be a little rich and maybe a little smokey at low rpms, that's normal, but that same mixture has to protect and keep things lubricated at high rpms too. A 2 stroke needs more oil at full throttle/ high revs. The recommended mixture is a middle ground.
  3. I wouldn't be running chainsaws, augers and weed wackers at 100:1 even with a good synthetic oil. Why not mix as recommended? You could be doing damage. The difference is when using those things they pretty much operate at full throttle all the time. An outboard is operated from idle and trolling speed to WOT and everything in between.
  4. It looks like the Leafs are going to have to pony up. It's a shame everything is so money related. I don't blame AM but I'm not really loving him right now either. https://www.nhl.com/news/auston-matthews-changes-agents-joins-group-that-represents-mcdavid-report/c-298952400
  5. I have a Yamaha 8hp that calls for 100:1. I don't use synthetic but I mix it about 75:1. 100:1 just makes me cringe a little bit especially when at WOT.
  6. Nakina North had a cancellation. June 23-30, Percy Lake. A good sized lake with pike and walleye and miles of navigable river downstream with brook trout. I am going in August. $650 CAD plus hst for min party of 4. https://www.nakinanorthoutfitters.ca/percy-lake/
  7. /\ /\ /\, wow, that's funny!
  8. Wow, that's pretty early for mayflies. Fishing might be a little tough for a couple weeks. Try fishing a fast dropping shore (I know it's Pigeon) with a strong wind blowing directly onshore. I've had the wind congregate the flies and the eyes before.
  9. That's what I was thinking too when I read that. They should have really dropped the hammer on that guy. Here's one from ice fishing on Lake Joe. I thought the fines were good except he didn't loose his licence. https://www.muskokaregion.com/news-story/8607971-catching-too-many-muskoka-lake-trout-ice-fishing-cost-man-1-500/
  10. I talked to a guy today who was looking for brookies north of Nakina last week and he couldn't find them. They weren't in the typical fast water sections and rapids. With the cold water, they might be roaming around a bit. If they're not in the rapids, try a shallow, soft, dark bottomed bay near the rapids. Warmer water and more bugs and minnows to eat.
  11. That's a big one! I am surprised they could keep hold of it. A guy I know used to get them in Niagara on the Lake. They would tie a cows head from the butcher to a rope and toss it in, lol.
  12. enjoy, take lots of pics, and report back the planning and anticipation is half the fun
  13. You could also just stay with the prop you have on now. It sounds like you are just barely tickling the rev limiter and it sounds like you are happy with the top speed. More pitch and the boat might not perform as well when you have other passengers.
  14. Well that was a success! Were they shallow?
  15. Yes, Halton. I'm pretty sure we can get it quashed it's just a PITA and a waste of time. If it goes to trial it will be a waste of tax payers $. It should have been a warning to get new plates. My 3 year old son was in the car and he quite liked the experience of getting pulled over by the police and being issued a ticket, lol.
  16. Nicely done! some nice specimens there!
  17. My wife got a $110 ticket a couple days ago for obstruction of plate because of her peeling plates, lol. A poorly made, peeling licence plate isn't the same as an obstructed plate, pretty asinine cop, I wasn't in the car
  18. Walsten south of Kinmount has a decent reputation.
  19. Plekanec wants to go back to Montreal https://www.nhl.com/news/tomas-plekanec-would-like-return-to-montreal/c-298795058 I don't care where he goes, as long as he goes away. Does anyone have an inside scoop on why the Leafs went after him? was it Lamoriello's dumb idea?
  20. did you grab the tenderloins off it at least?
  21. Wow, that's cool. I would have guessed not enough power, a kneeboard maybe.
  22. I always thought M A Fleury was a mediocre goalie at best and often sucked. Brian Burke said the same thing on Leafs Lunch today. Fleury sure hasn't sucked this season. The Pens have a lot of heavy hitters on the payroll and something had to give.
  23. Analysts have been saying the Vegas wheels are going to fall off since mid October. I think they are going to win the whole deal. They disposed of the Jets in 5. It would be a pretty historic cup win. I am a little bitter because the Leafs have been trying to build a contender for years, this team just enters the league and wins.
  24. The whole Vegas team works hard and are relentless on the forecheck and backcheck. It's like they are pissed they weren't protected by their previous teams and now have something to prove.
  25. If all sales are final, how did someone else buy and return that fitbit? When they said all sales are final, I would have said no thanks, I'll get it somewhere else.
