  1. why not quote them, it's just a sports discussion, also otherwise nobody has any clue what you're talking about
  2. I have no clue, what do you think they did to Sittler and Sundin and many others? made them legends, rich, famous, sounds good to me
  3. I'm worried Sparks gets nervous when he's in an NHL game. He's looked terrible. Cam Ward looked equally as terrible though, lol. Loosing Mac might have been a mistake. It's only 3 games in but my thoughts are- -the Leafs have to play fast and breakout and rush like they did against Chicago -the defense sucks, we're gonna have to score our way to wins and Freddie will have to stop 35 a night -the Leafs are on the cusp of something special and management has to put the final touches on it, the offence is reminiscent of the Oilers in the Gretzky era, now management has to coach the kids and acquire some other additions to put it all together, it's the managements game to loose, it's rare in a salary cap league that so much offensive talent is on one team -I hope Dubas has free reign and Shanny and Babs and whoever else aren't dictating
  4. to give the Sens a breather, lol,
  5. My Dad has a Chinese piece of crap genny. It sat for years and he doesn't do maintenance. We pulled it out for a fly in trip this summer and it worked fine so I think going cheap is an option. I'd probably splurge and by a Honda though.
  6. Tonight if I see Hainsey watching the jumbo tron again, looking at his damn up and how it was a goal against, I might smash my big flat screen TV, lol
  7. A lot of Leafs fans on social media forums are talking about a cup, I bleed blue but there's something rotten in the state of Toronto
  8. Dermot looked like Gardiner in that game, both doing things 10 year olds are coached not to do and then don't do. I don't know how crap like this isn't addressed at this stage in their career, how Babcock hasn't fixed this crap in how many years? Bright spot was Lindholm. I hope it was new season jitters because that was darn terrible. Anderson was great and AM and JT sniped a few, otherwise, the 2 points should have went to the lowly habs.
  9. poor effort tonight, I'm worried that aside from our top 4 forwards the team is pretty weak Lindholm looked promising though
  10. I use regular Stabil and have always had good results, maybe water or ethanol Fisherman? My question would be what is the shelf life of the stuff? For something as important as that, I always buy a new bottle and now have a bunch older, half empty bottles.
  11. I don't think Babcock and company are ever going to add some grittiness. Shame. That's one of my beefs against Babs. I don't think the Leafs are close to being at the same level as the Jets, Preds etc. Hopefully the Leafs finish a little higher in the standings and play a weaker team in the 1st round and advance.
  12. I like the initial hit and then the pike just casually swims off like my 20 lbs braid and arched rod don't exist, lol. It looks like a successful trip! Did you rent a houseboat and tow your fishin' machine? I'd love to try that.
  13. /\ /\ /\ this is good advice to avoid a really negative start to their new interest in hunting I'd call the MNR office that looks after the area they are interested in and try and talk to a CO and ask him/ her where is a good spot to set up far enough away from the established hunting parties.
  14. the fish don't actually bite, the line drifts into their mouth and the hook ends up in their face or mouth
  15. Killarney Lodge is expensive and caters to the upper class, wealthy, visible minority GTA crowd, it's not a fish camp
  16. I've tried neoprene gloves and my hands felt colder than being bare. I use decent quality, slim fitting fleece gloves and consciously try to keep them dry. I use a bait caster and the gloves don't hinder me much.
  17. We spent the night at Lower Twin Lakes then flew out the next morning to Kayedon/ Ogoki. We did catch plenty of walleye during the week up there. Twin Lakes should be good but I think one of the main attractions of the lodge is the plenty of good back lakes in the area. Talk to the owner, Mike. If it was me, I'd be spending a lot of my time on Wababimiga. If you've got specific questions, Jmeyer knows the area like the back of his hand.
  18. good to see some gloves come off with these supposedly hungry, young guys trying to make the team
  19. It might not be illegal at all. It's a transaction both parties agree on. Fraud if he claims it's a Breitling or something and it's a fake. What's the tax/ duty on stuff like that? It can't be so much that it's worthwhile for him to sell stuff for 10 cents on the dollar, lol. I hate crap like that, get a job you snake
  20. go nuts, those are the stocked, open year round lakes, the naturals in the Drowning and the other nearby rivers are unfortunately closed
  21. We over nighted there a couple weeks ago, didn't fish. The guys staying there seemed to be bringing in a few walleye. Borger fished it- https://www.canadafishingguide.net/lower-twin-lakes-nakina-walleye-brookies-and-birds/ Unfortunately, brook trout closed Labour Day. I think the owner Mike has some boats cached on Wababimiga. If it was me, I'd spent at least a couple days there looking for monster pikes.
  22. they are just a disgusting blemish for Canadian NHL teams, just move the friggin team for christs sakes and end this embarrassment
  23. They need more tarps at the Canadian Tire Center. What a disgrace.
  24. works good, $25, Oakville https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1385080241&uuid=d68d5e9c-5fd2-4eeb-b847-2f031a03a6bd
  25. I wouldn't say they gelled and clicked, but yeah, I think they're gonna put some pucks in the net when they settle in and get comfortable. Anybody have a roster for tomorrow? AM should be in
