Looking for new graph...how important is side imaging
chris.brock replied to bigcreekdad's topic in General Discussion
What unit do you have GBL? My Helix 5 SI is only good to about 30 FOW max. I don't like DI either. I get way more definition and information on regular sonar. Maybe it's the Helix 5, maybe it's me, lol. -
The Leafs DO have a chance for a cup this year if things really went right, they could also easily go out in 4 or 5 in the first round, lol see what happens, lookin' forward to game 1!

Looking for new graph...how important is side imaging

I agree the younger generation is better with the tech stuff. I still don't think having SI is a totally clear picture of everything going on 240' to either side of the boat, even for the young guys. It doesn't really work like that. In the ads they have for SI they show images of standing trees and sunken bridges. That stuff rarely exists (at least where I fish). I can see logs or boulders on my SI but they aren't anything special that would hold fish. -

I have a Helix 5 Si, I don't find side imaging useful. My buddies $1400 Lowrance (not sure what model) did have better SI but it still wasn't revolutionary. That said, I am not the best with tech stuff. The built in GPS I really like. -
Didn't you predict in a post the Leafs would finish with 105? that's why I was looking back to September, couldn't find it, maybe I'm mistaken?
-
yeah the hofman goal was genius

I was looking at the overhead pictures, I'm just guessing but it looks like the bus driver missed a stop sign and hit the trailer. Doesn't matter now, a terrible thing that happened, very tragic.
-
The regs don't specify that everyone's minnows can't be kept together, the same as boat partners can both keep their fish in the same live well I don't think it's an issue, I wouldn't worry about it

Exactly OI. The Leafs games have been pretty much meaningless for weeks, they can't move up or down.

The Magic Lure, anyone recognize this spoon?
chris.brock replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
Interesting about the Flashbait connection. I will ask Phil about it when I see him. He did mention there is a cult following for the Krinkles spoon in some areas of Quebec and guys order them by the hundreds. -
It's not like the Leafs are suddenly going to have to blow up the team to stay under the cap. 2 cups in a row for the Pens with some heavy hitters on the payroll Player (23) Pos. Adj. Cap Hit Evgeni Malkin C $9,500,000 Sidney Crosby C $8,700,000 Kris Letang D $7,250,000 Philip Kessel RW $6,800,000

I was out on the Easter Weekend, lots of ice but shorelines with the afternoon sun are very sketchy.

Definitely an option. An e-transfer isn't instantaneous though. I bought a snowmobile on a Sunday evening (banks closed) with an e-transfer. I had to wait in my car for over an hour until the email showed up in the seller's inbox.

I don't like the way it's done now either. I think it was Dave Poulin on Leafs Lunch that said- Let the 1st place team in the conference PICK their 1st round opponent (from the playoff teams in their conference), then the 2nd place team picks their opponent from the remaining teams, 3rd place team picks, the last 2 remaining teams play each other. I thought that would be a good way to do it and they could broadcast the picking live on TV.

Sort of, lol. I guess Phil only stamps out a bunch at a time. He won't sell them unless they're complete and packaged. I think he's waiting for something from the US (hooks?). He hasn't said a price yet either. I'm pretty sure I will get them, it's just a slow process. -
Alfie was pretty good at demanding more money, he seemed to win at that, lol
-
He probably is an a hole, but if he has the slightest clue about running a business, he likely won't do it again
-
Exactly. The cool thing is no COs or cops were involved, just an average Joe fisherman posted it and it has since been (allegedly) cleaned up and the outfitter likely won't do it again.

Both teams are a little scary. TBL @ BOS 7pm tonight. Hopefully they incur some injuries

If you're willing to drive all the way to Onaman, Jason's 2 Mile drive to camp north of Nakina is worth a look. https://namegosikaaoutfitters.com/ pros- a cabin (not a tent) fridge, stove, BBQ etc, beach, don't have to haul your boat, fast action fishing at the rapids If you want to do the crown land, boat in, camping thing, Ramsey Lake south of Bisco lake had solid walleye fishing the last time I was there.

Yeah, it might be tough to get info on that one. It's a good area though if you want to do some exploring, lots of lakes around. I'd call the Chapleau MNR and ask them if they can help you with info on Top and the lakes in the area. I bet they would help.

Since she's an old lady I'd leave her out of it. I don't know if you have benefits, but for an accident like that where you went to the hospital there shouldn't be a waiting period if you miss work. Hopefully you feel better and heal up quick.

this game is also an example of- if the Leafs play hard and maybe get a couple bounces, they can skate with and beat any team in the league
-
Leafs/ preds, end of 2nd so far a prime example of the refs being far too much of an influence on the game with bull crap, marginal, discretionary, one sided calls
