  1. Congratulations! Beautiful family!
  2. Way to go Ron! We are expecting our first Grand baby any day now and I can't way to hear those words!
  3. Very nice fish1 A Hawg for sure!
  4. Beautiful workmanship Chris. That rod will be treasured for many years to come.
  5. Ah_Long, Can I make an assumption that you are a single man? LOL I know if I bought all them purty fishing rods/reels in a single year...that I would be! Seriously, that is some nice stuff you go there! I would hate to take it out and get it all slimed up with moss and junk!
  6. That was fantastic Dave! Thanks for sharing with us!
  7. Congratulations Billy Bob! I can see why you would both be so very proud of Tim! That is quite an accomplishment.
  8. I'm sure if you check further into it, that BBQ from Barrie is not made there! They may assemble and store them in a warehouse there, but they too are Chinese manufactured.
  9. Hey guys, Our Kitchen has been inundated with HUGE black ants this year! We never saw this in the past, but these things are huge and Wifey finds them particularly disgusting! We have cleaned out all cupboards and removed recycling bins and trash can from under sink. We have tried all sorts of traps and poisons, but they keep coming. In fact they have sort of relocated to downstairs since we went on the attack in the kitchen! I noticed a lot of huge ant hills out in the yard this year as well, but they are mostly the smaller type of ant. Any ideas on how to best deal with them? Sorry this is non fishing, but I read all the mouse trapping posts and thought maybe someone has experience with this? Thanks
  10. You know, I've taken First Aid training several times and feel that they over emphasize the role of each individual and what you have to say. I always have in the back of my mind that I will forget to say something or do something wrong. I like this simplified method where you call for help and then get to pumping! That, I can do! Thanks for sharing TJ!
  11. They are definitely behind this year. I have some up close to the house, but along the river they are not showing yet. Probably after this week though.
  12. Thanks for the pictures of Camp TJ. A for the video, I never doubted the socks would hold up...but I did have my fingers crossed for the old fella wearing them! 4 Km is a long haul for that specimen!
  13. Happy Birthday Mr.B! Sounds like you had a great day!
  14. I'll second the vote for Total Battery in Barrie. They have excellent prices and great service!
  15. Trust me Bob, them drinks ain't free!! If you are not paying for them....someone sure as hell is!!
  16. Steve, That is quite the intro and a great read! It sure is nice to see that you made good use of those three years in University...well at least from a writing point of view. I think you have a real talent in that area as well. Now just combine some more fishing with more reports, and we can't wait to read them. That was also a pretty cool line-up of species in those pictures as well. Welcome to the board! Brian
  17. HTHM, That is hilarious and oh so true!
  18. I'm also noticing that humans and Moose chose the same spot to cross the road!LOL
  19. Hey Tom, I'm just a bit North of you in Cleveland right now and I'd say they are a few weeks ahead of us in Ontario. The grass is very long and very green here. Things were just starting to green up back home when I left a week ago.
  20. Wayne, What exactly is the statute of limitations on old thread revival? LOL
  21. Who do you think makes the motors?
  22. Hey Photoz,

Nice to see you back on here! Hope you are doing well!

    Brian

  23. Brian, I don't think anyone that knows you would even think of questioning your work ethic. You seem like a guy that gives his all for the company, but they sure seem to be taking you for granted. It is very poor management on their part to let a man like you work so many hours and get to feeling this way. If they can't do without you for the week-end, what on earth will they do when you end up sick and have to stay off work for a month or more? Think about it! Remember, you live where you do because you enjoy the outdoors and those Grand Babies of yours. Work is good and we all need money, but it ain't the most important thing in your life.
  24. I like the show. I am fascinated by the behaviour of Bass and this show demonstrates this. I only see a few episodes per year and to be honest, I have never witnessed them filming spawning beds. They don't use this technique or technology to catch fish per say, but they fish while filming to show behaviour. At least it is something different. Kim Stricker was a very successful tournament fisherman before this show was created. Anyways, WFN has many, many other "infomercials" disguised as fishing shows. Usually whenever I get a chance to tune in, they are broadcasting goofy "shopping channels".
