  1. when i used to fish rivers...i had a friend literally sink in this sand/mud combo up to his waist ..now that was a scary thing....what would one do if alone in that situation.. it was a helluva time getting him out.....
  2. the planer boards, i have operate either to the left or the right....usually one board is longer than the other...i dont know what you mean bout a snubber...but i dont think they are needed....usually the clip releases the line when you have a fish on.....on like a dipsey where snubbers are needed as a shock absorber they usually ride 'on top' of the water so to speak....they are visible to you and hopefully to other boats that are trolling....not much of an issue on lake ontario...but what an obstacle course to weave in and out when trolling round hay bay good luck!

  6. a great strong bred....i have a distant cousin of the short hair pointer....a wiemeraner.. like solo said....they must be worked daily!!! very smart and loyal....becareful round young kids tho they tend not to know how much strength they have and can be a little much good luck with your new pup!!
  7. youll be trolling at round 6mph with that motor...lol....and yea the ipilot is an awwsome toy...just make sure you get the electric steer that is compatible with it...

  15. ooops sorry...thought we were talking bout a baitcaster...ok then ya as roy said...you have a problem.... what type of line are ya using...braid should not give ya a birds nest..not on a spinning outfit...
  16. dont sweat it dave.......ive managed to get a few serious birds nests on a real that is supposed to be backlash proof.!!!!! the dc calais....just ask jose i can still hear him laughing at me whenever i pick that reel up im pretty sure tho its just takes a few tweaks of the setting on your baitcaster
  17. i have to agree with wiser...the sustain's are very nice spinning reels...the smoothest ive ever had...

  19. ive had a pro-v 1900 for a few years now with a yammy on the back...solid boat....the only draw back is the hieght for getting it into the garage...i think you should look at the 1850 tyee...sweet layout ..if i ever upgrade ill go with that one....but definatley look states side!!! youll save a good buck good luck with your search
