hey guys was wondering where would i find a good launch opened up at 6 am on stoney....ill be comin in from aurora...i was thinking of hitting this lake for the first time.... thanks

great vids......but who really "pushes" their boats off a trailer......usually i just get backed in and float off of my trailer... great advise from the others......when i first learned....i too went to an industrial complex on a sunday afternoon and tried on their loading docks....great experience from it....

ill be on lake ontario also.....fish are staging so stick close to the river mouths....most are being caught within 30ft to about 100'.....good luck....might see ya out there...

i believe the fifth wire is your brake disconnect....on my trailer if ever i reverse it disengages my surge brakes....ya might wanna reconsider goin to a four plug

i can relate to a problem launch....last year on rice a buddy of mine backed up the trailer and one side missed the concrete slab.....no boat on the trailer yet and we couldnt budge the trailer an inch....we had to get into the water and lift the one side back onto the ramp....that wasnt fun!!!....

was wondering if someone could give some advice about wind speeds on lake ontario.....was thinking of trying my hand at some fishing the big lady....i have a pro v 1900....ive checked the wind forecast and they are calling for 4-8 km/h winds for this weekend....when isnt it safe to be out there... thanks

my neighbor has one...and they are wonderful family pets...i guess you could make that arguement for any hunting breed of dog....make sure tho they get alot of work... exercise them alot....they are pretty mischievous when they are bored...respect them right and have them respect you....and youll have a friend for life!! good luck

just spent a week up there in the beginning of july.....beautiful area....lake is known for its lake trout and small mouth....i boated over 30 but they were all small....its a fairly large body of water so youll need a decent size boat to get you around...i had some great tips from a great friend of mine on where the smallies were supposed to be but i guess it was an off week...check all the shallow bays in and around the lake for the bass....also if you ask a local, find a spot which they call the narrows....didnt have any luck there but my bud swears by it....another tip for you is live bait...i usually fish with senko's...but everyone i asked up there kept telling me minnows are the key...oh and becareful of the under water tree stumps....i was amazed at how many tree's were under water..body of water is pretty clear up there and not very many weeds....deepest part of the lake is close to 200 ft....anyways all the best of luck...hope ya land the 5 pounder!!!

thanks everyone for all your comments......yes caught this on a spinner bait without a leader...50lbs braid ....yes i did have shakey legs when i saw his back....new it wasnt a pike...gave me a good fight....but he did swim away after a few pics....and for all that wanna know....IM STILL SMILING!!
