I use the gamkatsu finesse wide gap weedless for my wacky worm setup.

daiwa samurai is a great line. it costs more but is worth it. I wish there was a hi vis colour they made like a white or yellow but besides that it's great. It's slicker than regular PP and PP slick, IMO, which means more casting distance.
don't go with fenwick. they are known for snapping. stick with a nice shimano clarus or convergence, great rods for the money. for the reel stick with a shimano, will never let you down.
guelph lake has a ton of bass in it. Great for canoes and kayaks. Mountsberg has a lot of pike, they're everywhere. I have seen a few decent sized bass in kelso.
