I might want to be Prime Minister some day, I don't want Harper sniffing through all the dumb stuff I've posted here looking for a way to trash me in a few million $ worth of commercials.

We really should waterboard Dick Cheney before he dies. We could ask him Who killed Kennedy? Did you mastermind 9/11? Did a Bush ever win an election? and was Micheal Jackson a pervert?

It was the 18 v Ryobi that bit me, bad, bad drill. Drop them all off a roof onto cement, pick up the makita and sweep up the rest. Used my orange 7.2 for 30 years, I think its a collectors item. Dropped one off a barn roof, no damage at all. I would expect all the new drills with the batteries on the end off the handle instead of sliding into the handle will snap in half the first time you drop them, I know the jobmates will. When the cordless drills first came out it made some jobs into real money makers.

My cordless put a bit through my thumb Saturday so it wont be getting new batteries any time soon.

One benefit of a slow start is you get a chance to figure something wrong here, a vibration or boggy start might be your prop full of weeds. A jackrabbit start with a prop full of weeds can spin the hub and put a lot of stress on gearing.

It doesn't by any chance have a stall switch in the shifter like the mercruiser inboards did. The idea was to cause the motor to missfire when shifting gears to make for smoother shifting. Sometimes this switch would stick and stall out the motor.

Mandatory service would give the Gov. the ability to brainwash the population, not a good thing. As for EI or welfare I have worked with guys that society would have been further ahead to pay them to stay home, if you haven't consider yourself lucky.

Caught a 4 lb herring and then read about somebody setting a record with a 4 lb herring, Doh!

Heads up to the Toyota fans ..Buddy got one in the States a few years back, its the smaller one, they were recalled because the undercoating had trapped water and rusted out the frame. He loves the truck tho and it didn't rust out.. Just because they aren't offering 0% doesn't mean you can't get it. Just tell em this is the deal or no deal. Anybody got a low mileage 86 F250 4x4 supercab, I might only have a couple more years in mine if I keep plowing snow.

The card is not great but the problem is people get them from the wrong place. Most get them off the net for big $ and no instruction or coarse time and then complain about a cash grab. Yes it was a cash grab but you chose to give it to them quit your whining. If you looked around you could write the test for $20 with an outfit that registered your card. For around $40 you could get an 8 to 12 hour coarse and your card, not much of a cash grab there. Most don't want to put the time into it so they get them the worst way possible, on line with no instruction or cheat, at the higher cost than a coarse or go to a seminar where they tell you the answers and nothing more. Question 1. How do you signal danger to another boat? 1. Five blasts on a horn or whistle. 2. Wave and point. Question 2. Sailboat always has right of way. 1 true 2 false Get them both wrong tear up your card.

Where did you get your card and how much instruction time did you get with it?

I did the same thing almost, came into the dock and was going to put it in between two boats but at the last seconds decided to put her on the end facing out. Merc drive, the second small shift cable came apart and i kept on going ripping a fender off. Sure glad I didn't put it between the two boats.

So Canada has just put in 10.5 Billion in GM

Once the $3K car from India gets here you won't have to worry about expensive repairs, you just replace the car. -

To cut the sale of oil to the US is considered by them as an act of war, do you think we can take them? -
The TV show marketplace did a thing on internet providers, I don't think any of them hit the top speed but they all sell "up to" Tell them you will start paying them up to $60.

They are already paying the senior guys to stay home so a new guy can do the job cheaper. Like the accountant up the road said why should I pay for a GM workers divorce lawyer when I buy a car. They should have spent the money backing new technology, or just split the money up between laid off auto sector workers, at least that way the money stays in Ca. This will be a going away gift to GM. -
How stable are these "smaller" boats with casting decks?
POLLIWOGG replied to MSBruno's topic in General Discussion
Any changes to weight or seating positions will affect the center of gravity, most for the worse. Casting platforms don't make as much difference to the boat as your not fastened to it so when the boat heels over it can simply dump the weight (you) over the side before the weight (you again) pulls the boat over. Higher seating on the other hand moves the center of gravity way higher so when the boat heels over and the weight (you again) is holding on, the higher center of gravity moves outward faster and farther and if it gets farther out from centerline than the center of buoyancy your in the water. Flat bottom boats are more stable than v boats but that stability will toss you around in big waves because it it is always trying to right itself. Because modifications affect the boat stability your capacity plates no longer apply to that boat and you are supposed to do modifications in compliance to building standards and send for a single vessel compliance plate. Now the last I heard of anyone applying for a single vessel compliance plate was sent a letter saying they don't do them anymore and to use the letter stating its not available. I don't know if you guys are required to send away for a the letter or not. -
Time to start eating more bass and less pickerel?

She didn't do anything I wouldn't expect from her anywhere else in the world.

Never be afraid to call a cop to come do their job. We have so many here that they are bored stiff looking for something to do.
-
I think its called sculling ,when you propel the boat with one oar but its a bit of a lost art and I sure wouldn't want to start to learn it in a hurry in bad weather. Anchor or oar is just another dumb thing, anchor should be mandatory. I guess the answer is do you want to use it or hold it up for the cops to look at.

THe MNR had a stuffed fisher at the fair, its legs were longer and it had a bushy tail like a fox. The only one Ive seen was on the run ahead of my snowplow and they resemble a huge squirrel or cat when they run with that big tail. I'll get him next time.

Where did you do your coarse Bobby Zummi grad or internet? How much you pay for it. If you got your money's worth and you don't know you should at least know how to find out, thats why he's bashin you, but I guess this is one way to find out.

I like to figure how close to the water am I. In my boat I can get up and walk around, its big enough that the risk of ending up in the water is low under nice conditions, but I'll put on a pfd if I'm messing with riggers in big waves or something that brings me closer to the water. I won't get in a canoe without one on and I won't get in a canoe with anyone else unless she's awfully good looking. My buddies little fishing boat scares the crap out of me.
