Oh, good thing I kept it civil huh? Missed it by that much Jim

Do you mean who wants to be those things, or do you mean who wants to do the work required to be those things? Jim

I don't know what to say except that I've got some H2O of my own going on. Bless the lot of us, you included Mr. Blizzard. Jim

As a former tradesman who saw the light, please see the following points: - There are more people making a living out of selling the dream of apprenticeships that there are actually doing apprenticeships. - Ask everyone (usually teachers) that tells you how great the trades are how come they are not working in them anymore. - What are the rest of the "smoking area Prophets" doing that you went to high school with? - When your teachers and parents begged you to apply yourself, and you knew better, this is what you were setting yourself up for. - If you think it is bad now, wait until you are 45 with no pension plan and bad joints and humping shingles up a ladder when it's -20 outside. - You are young. Get an education, somewhere, and get on with making a decent life for yourself while you still can. - Before everyone comes down on me like a ton of bricks, I went from a spotty 50 grand a year to 90 grand in 9 months with one year of education. Pooh Pooh all you want, but I have seen both sides. Jim

You're half right (two out of the four are). Jim

I thought that Daltry pulled it off better than Townsend. After all these years I thought Pete would have known not to wear a jacket that would cover the strings and cause you to miss 30% of your notes. When you think about it, it was vintage Who. Jim

My wife puts peas in her mac & cheese and it tastes fantastic. I think that it might be a texture thing, but it works. Jim

Mine is through my house insurance. I can't imagine why your broker would not be up on it. Hell, the person I was dealing with was in Bangalore and he dealt with it fine. Jim

I'm on board with this too. I am afraid I just don't get it (don't be upset, I don't get basketball either) Jim

Did anyone catch Elliot Friedman's interview with JS Giguere? I don't think I have ever heard a better post game interview. What a class act this guy is. (I know I promised no more hockey posts) Jim

This past fall on Big Doe I caught my own anchor line without realizing that it had come undone. I felt a hit and set the hook, it felt like a good one pulling drag and all only to get it to the boat and realize that it was an anchor line. then looked to the front of the boat to realize that it was mine. I felt blessed and stupid all at the same time. Jim

Hard Water Fishing - Father Daughter Duo Style
Radnine replied to Leecher's topic in General Discussion
Well I am glad that you answered that question before I had a chance to ask [why you let them go?]. It warms my heart to see fathers and children get out anywhere together, but fishing in particular. Thanks for taking the time to post it Jacques. I also love the way you speak French to her and English to us (I am not sure why, but I am in awe of people that have that talent). It is posts like this one that make this board great. Jim -
People have been shaking that seal since the 50's. IT'S CALLED TUPPERWARE. Holy doodle people, quit spamming and start thinking for yourself. Jim

I just can't believe that with quality talent like Lee Stempniac and Ricard Wallin that they can't go all the way. Joe Bowen is doing his part by saying "Holy Makinaw" every time the leafs managed to touch the puck. We all watched the game tonight meaning the ratings are still good; Therefore, we are still a part of the problem. Jim

Pure, Are you back in Caledonia now? I mean, you went out east for a bit, no? Jim

You keep eating that for a midnight snack and we won't have to worry about the effects of ice fishing on Chemong for long! Jim

What a great post! Thanks for taking the time to share. Jim

I have never used Yamato's but am a huge fan of YUM anythings. Jim

I hate it when you guys do this to me. I'm actually looking into this now Jim

Okay Bill, I googled your razer so I now know what you are talking about but I am not sure why. What made you want to try this razor? I do the soap/brush thing so I get that (even though its a pain at times to find shaving soap) but am unclear as to why you would go retro on the blade? Please clarify. Jim

I am not sure where you are looking, but I find it super easy to find great places to stay on line. You should have seen the misrepresentation of shacks when all you had to go on was a three line ad in the classified section. Here are a couple of sites that I have had success with. http://www.cottagelink.com http://www.cottagesincanada.com http://www.cottage-canada-usa.com Looking for great cottages to rent has become a bit of a hobby of mine and the search is half the fun. Don't forget that if you find the information lacking on the site you can always email the owner and ask for more photos. Good luck! Jim

My first day as a high school teacher and I was photocopying a transparency for the overhead projector. I didn't realize that I had grabbed a transparency that could not go through the photo copy machine (I didn't know there was a difference) and it melted in the photocopier. The $500 repair bill was bad but the fact that anyone that waited until the first day of school to do their copying was screwed was worse. I felt awful. I got over it though. Jim

Great Lures That Caught You Squat Last Season?
Radnine replied to CLofchik's topic in General Discussion
Wow, are you serious with the senkos Andy? Are you using good ones (like YUM Dingers) or cheap imitations with no salt etc? Man Senko type worms have caught me loads of fish over the past two years. In fact that is what I have caught most of my smallies on. Are you using them right? PM me if I can help. Jim -
Are you looking at the side console model (remember if you buy a tiller you don't need a boat that is more than three feet long, cause you're tied to the motor anyway )? I am sure it will be a wonderful boat. At the show I came a away from the Smokercraft/Sylvan booth thinking that they went a little bananas with the crome and fake leather but looking yours up on the internet, it looks like a good fishing platform. I have a 16' with a 60/four and it moves the boat beautifully. Having said that, I remember when I first got the boat thinking that I was flying; Now two seasons later, 34 mph doesn't blow my skirt up the way that is once did. Good luck in your search. Jim
