    how big

Well there you go...about 22 lbs or so.
  2. Hopefully, in our supposed free country, the "authorities" wouldn't automatically assume you're lying.
  3. If you have a four fish limit from one zone in your freezer, and are now fishing in a zone with a six fish limit, can you keep two more fish? That's one I'm not sure about. Logic says yes, but regs have very little to do with logic sometimes.
  4. It's up to the "authorities" to prove that they weren't. Otherwise, by that logic, you wouldn't be able to leave the lake on Balsam with a legal slot-size fish that would be an illegal slot-size in the rest of zone 17. No.
  5. The possession limit pertains to where the fish were caught, not where you might actually physically possess the fish.
  6. You'll figger it out when the holes start appearing in your pants...
  7. How did its ears smell?
  8. I think you're over-estimating the power of a lowly city councillor, it's not even a full-time job.
  9. Funny enough, just last night, I was forced into digging an old chug bug from the bottom of my bag when I broke my last Pop'R off. I was happy to find it still caught fish.
  10. We've had many changes here in Zone 17 to our pickerel regs the last couple years, yet I'm still astounded by the number of people I talk to, many who fish regularly, who don't have a clue (or couldn't care less).
  11. I hate when that happens...
  12. There are two Crotch Lakes, causing some confusion. The OP is asking about the one in Algonquin Park. Some of the replies are referring to the lake north of Kaladar near Bon Echo. We've camped there the last few years and will be again in a few weeks.
  13. I was watching it on the radar before I went out, looked to be quite isolated right over Stony lake and moving slowly to the south-east. Out on the lake it looked much closer than it appeared on the radar, so I stayed real close to home. It was dead-calm for the most part, but after about an hour, the lightning looked to be getting closer so I headed in. Just as I got to the dock, the wind really picked up and I thought for sure the storm was coming in. It never did rain a drop, just a nice cool wind.
  14. It didn't roll through all of the Kawarthas, Lew. I was out on Buckhorn last evening watching the storm roll through to the north-east, missed us completely. Quite the light show though, the top-water bass bite was on fire.
  15. I googled "pickereye"...came up empty. ...except for this...
  16. I just did a quick google search on the lake. Almost everything I read mentions either pickerel or walleye, even stocking as recently as the early 2000's. wikipedia Blue Mountain Lodge even here
  17. ...to what end?
  18. If it's a Catholic high school, why would you be surprised?
  19. Have you seen Beans' beagle?
  20. We were lucky enough to meet Sydney at Lakair last month, Cliff. She took a real shine to our dog, Moosy. You couldn't meet a nicer, more polite young lady. Looks like you guys know what vacation is all about...
  21. I'm using the "club" skin and everything works just dandy...
  22. If you seriously want to do some fishing, I would recommend you tow a smaller fishing boat of some kind along with you. This gives you the freedom to explore and fish different areas while using the houseboat as a base.
  23. My sister had a Wheaton Terrier who they lost way too young just recently when she was hit by a car. Ginger was a great dog, friendly, energetic and playful. I believe her coat was somewhat hypo-allergenic and shed very little hair.
  24. ...it's at least noon somewhere in the world, always works for me...
