  1. I live very near another Parkbridge trailer park, Grandview Resort on Upper Buckhorn. I was speaking with one of the "campers" a few days ago. Apparently their fees are up to $3500 a year and that's not including a boat slip, which there is a waiting list for.
  2. You can just walk right in...around the back of the building.
  3. Service depot for Shimano is in Peterborough. Not really out of your way on the way to Hamilton.
  4. Not always the case... I purchased my 2004 Crestliner (from a dealer) without trailer and motor. I had my 2000 Johnson from my previous boat put on and the whole thing loaded on my old trailer. I've since upgraded the trailer to a new (in 2008) EZ-Loader. So there you go, complete package with none of the years matching: 2000 motor, 2004 boat, 2008 trailer and my trolling motor is probably from about 1996.
  5. Just what we need...more rules & regulations.
  6. I've been running synthetics in my truck for years. Since the truck doesn't get driven much, only 3500km in the last year (never more than 5000 in any given year), the oil only gets changed once a year so I don't mind spending the extra coin. Which reminds me, I'm due for my yearly lube, better get it done before hauling the boat all the way to Lakair next week.
  7. How can you tell? How close do you need to get to see what someone is targetting? We were out on Pigeon on Saturday throwing big baits in shallow water. Were we targetting bass? Absolutely not. Even though the lightning shortened trip accounted only for a 3lb walleye, two 3lb bass & 0 musky.
  8. Ya can't go wrong at Henry's place...
  9. When is the new flyer available on-line? I have $50 in CT gift cards burnin a hole...
  10. I'd just be happy not to have to throw away a perfectly good card every three years...
  11. We might see you out there as well. That's our traditional musky opener water...
  12. I'm able to read the codes on my 2001 Dakota just by turning the key three times in quick succession. Any recorded codes are displayed in the odometer window. Are there not many vehicles that provide that info? My engine light has been on for awhile, throwing codes P-442 & P-455, both relating to a leak in my Evap system. My mechanic has assured me it has absolutely no bearing on the truck's performance, but it wouldn't pass an emission test right now (I have a year before I need one). Unhooking the battery clears the code for a few days, but it always comes back. A loose gas cap will often trigger the same type of code.
  13. ...or clear weeds from your prop...
  14. Sorry for your loss, it's never a good day.
  15. Vertical jigging with a good heavy spoon.
  16. Thanks Bob. Moosy is actually a labrador/golden retreiver cross. She's not too big at about 65 lbs, she'll always seem small to me, my last dog was a massive beast.
  17. ...will always be wet, now that this has begun... She's just a year old and has been hesitant of the water until just lately.
  18. Well for one thing, the bass in that area are still out of season for another 5 weeks, so you really shouldn't be targetting them just yet. I camped at Earl Rowe just once about 20 years ago, there's better fishing to be had elsewhere...
  19. Both my brother & my sister own a few rental cottages in Long Point, none have access to a dock though.
  20. The nickname "Buds" is already taken by the leafs...
  21. ...and that's a "keeper slot", only fish between 13.8" and 19.7" can be kept (limit of four). The little guys and the big guys have to go back. I got one on the weekend measuring 19.5", about as big as I would wanna keep anyways.
  22. You should reply that "Fran" actually is your uncle, thank him for informing you of his passing, and you'll be expecting the full inheritance shortly...
  23. Looks like you've been running under-inflated, or your wheels aren't lined up straight. Lotsa tread in the middle of the tire, the outside tread is almost bald and it looks like a nasty gouge all the way around. I vote yes.
  24. The G2G is a week before bass, I've got some bucktails to throw for musky (or big pike), don't have a heavy enough rod for the the big musky baits, trolling is for when you're old. Good to here some of your biggest fish have come from the area.
  25. ...that's a given...
