  1. i have a big closet i keep all my gear in. but for organizing things... i keep all my soft swim baits in one 3700 tray. hard swim baits in another tray. deep diving cranks in their own tray, shallow divers in other trays. lipless cranks in their own tray. flippin jigs go in their own trays. jerkbaits, topwaters and frogs in a tray and terminal tackle goes in anothr tray. i use all 3700 plano trays. i dont hav a boat so i have the large size plano guide elite KVD bag. it holds 10 trays and has several pockets to hold all my plastics and tools. i use a tackle binder to hold all my spinnerbaits. all my other gear for other species are sorted into their own plano boxes and stored on the shelves. keep each box labelled and u can easily identify each box and grab what u need quickly. i fish bass tournies as a non boaters, so i need to keep all the gear i can vand orgnized to maximize my time on the water. also needing to be prepared to fish any situation i come across.
  2. they are all liars and cheats. we're screwed no matter what one of those clowns get in.
  3. Yup, that's cool. I was checked for the first time ever this past ice season. Fishing on the hamilton harbour with my son and just as we were reeling up a pike a CO popped his head in the window to say hi, chatted for a few minutes, asked if he wanted to see my license, he said sure. Let the pike swim off, handed him my card. Talked a few more minutes and he was off. Was amazing seeing the mnr down there. LOTS of illegal fishing goes on there. One guy was dinged that day for either too many lines down or no license. Possibly both.
  4. ill be there on sunday with my 2 boys. gonna go grab a new rainsuit. and maybe some other new goodies!
  5. Rockys tackle repair in orillia is a quantum service and warrenty center. Excellant to deal with! Sent in a tour edition pt baitcaster that I broke the clutch sleeve on, they fixed it and sent it back within a week. Sent in multiple rods as well, no questions. Just ship them the piece of they blank with the model number, so it can go in a standard envelope, and they shipped back new rods.
  6. Calla rockys tackle repair. They are a quantum warrenty center in orillia. Great to deal with. Give them a ring and explain the situation, u may be able to send it to them and have them take care of it for u.
  7. brutal! i had someone go into my fenced in backyard and steal my rabbit outta her cage, and someone take a cat of mine once too.
  8. Still plenty of smallies in lake erie, both big and small!
  9. Water will likely be still high and fast flowing through that area making any kind of fishing tough, if not impossible. Its a good area for smallies during the summer and fall, pike and walleye too. Takes some patience and scouting, but u can find quality fish.
  10. no thanks... i choose life! im terrified of heights... i started shaking just watching that. when he looked down while going across that little beam.... with te pointy rocks 26725836 feet below... i peed myself a little.
  11. Marvin... What are u up too? I'm gettin worried about u again... Lol. Guess its not as easy to cut the store in half with a bandsaw to see what's in the middle of it eh... Haha
  12. Yup, I love them. I throw them a lot for bass through spring and summer.
  13. have a bunch of them, havent really put them to too much use yet. i personally dont find the gulp all that great either. both will work under the rite conditions.
  14. i know a guy on the BPS prostaff and uses their rods and reels. he says te rods are amazing for the prices, and the reels are good too. he said they dont last as long as other brands might, but overall the performance or the reels is quite good. and this guy is no slouch when it comes to winning big money on big water. but overall, im not really ovrly impressed with the sale, nuthin overly wowed me in the flyer. 10 bucks off a $200+ doesnt impress me all that much. some decent tackle sales. would like to see more high end gear on sale. not them clearing out their old crap. the pro qualifier rainsuits onsale for 169 is a nice deal, and that will likely be the only reason i make the trip out.
  15. i have a torch and love it. the way it keeps info and the use of the phone is great. simple to use once u learn it and the camera works great!
  16. rockys tackle repair in orillia. they are a warrenty and service center for many brands. and they are excellant to deal with in my experience!
  17. well put jedi. but on a dropshot, i would go with a medium power. but its a personal preference. all the rods i use are designed by me. my dropshot rod is my baby, i use it more then any other rod and catch a ton of fish on i. 6'10" medium xtra fast. weightless senkos i use a 6'8" medium xtra fast rod. i throw a lot of wacky rig senkos for largies. only baitcast i have in a medium is for jerkbaits and topwaters and its a 6'4" medium xtra fast. anythin else u wanna know just ask!
  18. go with a med/hvy. when ur dealing with any kinda cover, u'll appreciate that extra strength. med/light is kinda useless in a baitcaster as for as im concerned. unless like u mentioned u like dropshotting or finesse fishing with a caster. i hada med/light casting rod designed for lipless crankbaits. but the power on it was more closely to to a medium power. the med/hvy will give u a few more options when it comes to tossing different baits.
  19. Grand river below the dunnville dam. Mid may to mid june usually sees a good run in there. Lots of very good quality fish and big numbers.
  20. hopefully beside u in the boat jiggin detroit river 'eyes, bobby! alsobe chasin kitty cats on the grand, and crappie, and perch all around! pike as soon as they open here!
  21. The live target baits are amazing. The detail on them is just unreal, and when ur fishing clear waters, that can make a big difference. But the way he designed the baits and the way they move in the water is a big attracting factor to fish. Like someone mentioned 12 bucks for a premium bait is very reasonable compared to 20 and up for lucky craft and megabass. They catch fish. And that's what we all wanna do!
  22. Nrx r nice rods. But to be honest, didn't wow me.
