  1. So the foot pedal is toasty? That's the way I'm leaning (If everything else checks out)
  2. Took the boat out for this past weekend for some Gbay laker action and was having a weird issue with my Terrova (24V, 80lb, 60in).. First off the motor felt pretty weak (I checked all the battery connections and had my onboard charger plugged in all winter). If I used anything about say 6 or 7 on the foot pedal, the motor would surge like crazy (off, on, off, on, off, on) Only when I turned the power down did it constantly run. I took the foot pedal apart at the end of last season for the same issue. I didn't find anything wrong with the foot pedal at all, so I'm kinda at a loss here. I've got a few things to check. 1. Power at receptacle. 2. Double check wiring from batteries to motor 3. Perhaps the foot pedal is the culprit here? (Battery was toast on the iPilot link remote so I couldn't use that, doh!) If you guys have any other thoughts I'd love to hear them. I am planning on replacing the batteries soon anyhow, but wanted to nail down this problem first.
  3. Lakers love gobies.
  4. You need something to tell you how deep it is in a 3ft creek? lol
  5. That 40 should troll down to nothing without any help at all. As for tips, long leads, think shallow and put some hours in, you'll figure it out.
  6. Try reelflies.ca
  7. Don't go crazy with the hook set on them, I usually do a slow lift when fishing beads and my hookup ratio went way up. Also, this time of year I always carry a few red worms as well. Even minnow imitations.. Spring is the best time of year to switch up your bait selection for steelies.
  8. Pike aren't very picky
  9. Luckily in the corporate world change doesn't happen this quickly. You won't see Win7 on the non-support list for a long long time and by then, Win10 will be gone and replaced with something else.
  10. I don't think you want a bimini, you want a full standup top. Had one made for our Lund (1700 Pro Sport) it was $1600 or so. This included a cover for the bow area, both sides with windows and a full rear cover as well (It basically covers the entire boat, lol. Here's ours with just the top section on, really nice to get out of the sun and still easy enough to set riggers/dipsys, etc.
  11. Disable automatic updates, problem solved. If you've got it setup to download automatically, you've got a copy of Windows 10 on your system ready to go.
  12. Vacuum leak? Although a fresh tank of gas is definitely the first thing you should try.
  13. Someone should put a bunch of fluorescein in the river so it turns green and no one goes in (Doesn't harm the fish, think St.Patricks Day in Chicago)
  14. I honestly would have thought slaying big greasers up there during the winter wouldn't be that hard of a task, I guess I'm wrong, lol!! Great report man! Makes me miss that place!
  15. A corded impact driver will be a lot cheaper and a lot more powerful.
  16. It's a great question to ask. Personally I think if it's still in your possession it counts (No difference then having a freezer stuffed full of fish) shouldn't really matter if it's in a can or not.
  17. I can't see the MNR being happy about fish that have already been canned. They give you crap for not leaving the skin on for identification.
  18. I haven't paid attention at all to this years draft picks...
  19. Spring time pike = small baits. These should work great. I probably wouldn't be using them in the fall however.
  20. I always clean the cork on my rods, character be damned, lol. A little soap/water and some elbow grease. Dirty cork never looks good no matter how many fish you've landed.
  21. GBay has been up the past few years. Nice trend.
  22. What was acceptable in your previous country doesn't work here.
  23. Awesome! I still need to pop my cherry with one of those.
  24. If I lived on the big lake, I'd have one of those in the water somewhere
  25. I'm sure I'm not the only one that lusted after one of these as a kid while out with the oldman on Lake O trolling for salmon..
