  1. Browns like to eat them, I'd guess the muskie will as well
  2. I wish Canon didn't remove some of the cool features from the 70D when making the 7D mkii. I would have loved to keep the swivel/touch screen as well as the wifi. I definitely don't need GPS. Magnesium/weathersealed body is killer though.
  3. Right on, I don't pay much attention to the Garmin units.
  4. When getting into the DSLR game, what people really need to realize is that their investment should be in glass (lenses) not the bodies (Go figure I just upgraded to a 7D mk II, lol).. Bodies change, great lenses should be looked at as investments for the most part. You could have the greatest DSLR body, but put that behind a crappy lens and nothing is going to help.
  5. Water is going to be ice cold, I wouldn't worry about starting early.
  6. Really depends on what you want to spend and what you're going to use it for. DSLRs are an investment (Andbe prepared to spend more on the lenses themselves)
  7. Best mayor Toronto has had in a long time.
  8. I find the Cutco knife not flexible enough, at least compared to a 'normal' fillet knife.
  9. With the 'bird, your info is yours and yours alone. With the Helix/Onyx units, you make your custom maps right on the spot, no need to upload to computer to create. It's all done within the sonar itself. Pretty slick!
  10. No motors on any of the interior Massassauga PP lakes, GBay access is fine.
  11. A buddy of mine built me a custom stick. ST1203-MHX 10'0" | 6-12 lb. | 3/8 - 3/4 oz Alps TIY Titanium guides I've got it paired with a Shimano Sustain 3000FE. Really nice combo. First person to even land a fish on this thing was my gf, lol! I can't wait to get into some steel with it.
  12. Hardware can be a great producer, I've got a new hardware stick I can't wait to break in.
  13. I've got two more in the freezer!
  14. I did a giant pork shoulder in the crockpot yesterday, not to shabby. Although I'm sure not on the level like some of you guys Best part was I think it cost me $6.
  15. Get some long sink tips, that should be able to get your down deep enough in the spring (Which doesn't have to be very deep). Troll that along and hold on.

Mike as always, pics are insane!!! I'd love to see this setup in action!
  17. Great tip, although I can't say I've ever had a transducer destroyed by road debris, even after 200+kms on the Sultan Rd. Every little bit helps I guess.
  18. ShoreLand'r here, no complaints really, I just wish it was galvanized and not powdercoated. Back roads make a mess of it pretty quick (I'm getting tired of repainting it, lol)
  19. They'll never catch them. People just need to use a little common sense and if in doubt, ask questions. Call CRA, they'll tell you they'd never solicit like this.
  20. Good choice, you'll have a riot with Paul.
  21. A shack is being kind, lol.
  22. Nice fish! Can't wait for some open water laker jigging!
