If it's DC capable you can use any 12V battery. A 12V deep cycle marine battery will work. I don't know much about the CPAPs, but I read that having the humidifier on increases the current draw substantially. This is a common problem, you can easily search the net for more info on what people have done.

Upgrading wifi adapter in my Toshiba u840w ultrabook NF
adempsey replied to adam lancia's topic in General Discussion
This got confusing really fast. I don't understand how you can only have 1 mbps on 2.4Ghz but 180 mbps on 5Ghz. How are you measuring speed anyway? Mbps (megabits per second) is a silly unit used by ISPs that makes no practical sense at all. Megabytes per second makes way more sense. When you go to choose a WifI network, what are your options? Do you see the Rogers router and your N600?? -

Switching over to 5Ghz might help, but I wouldn't count on it making a huge difference. It's possible though. Are you using Rogers wireless router modem combo thing? Or the N600? The N600 has wireless N and therefore capable of 450Mbps. Also, what antennas are you talking about? On your laptop?? My personal experience with WiFi problems were solved by upgrading my router. I was streaming HD movies using WiFi but it would cut out quite often. I upgraded my router and it fixed that problem. I have since dropped lines and have my TV/media PC hard wired. I am not a big fan of WiFi, although I have an Amazon FireStick and it actually streams over WiFi reasonably well. I also just bought a WiFi booster to clear up a dead spot on the third floor of my house. Works great. That might be another option. If you consider upgrading your router, I'd check out the ASUS RT-N66U. It's not wireless-AC, but you won't need the newest standard anyway. Although, the TP-Link Archer C7 is supposed to be a reasonably priced router with wireless-AC, so probably worth a look. -
If he's looking for a fly-in outpost out of NE Ontario, I think the best bet would be with Air Ivanhoe. They have several outposts with Walleye and Smallmouth Bass and are most likely all located in FMZ8. They also operate a fly-in fishing lodge. Although not a fly-in, Happy Day Lodge might be worth a look. It's fairly remote, has limited access and they have a boat-in outpost. Located just west of Chapleau on Lake Windermere. Books up fast.

Anyone trying to sell you some product for detox etc.. is likely full of crap. Don't believe any of it. There is no real science to back up any claims by "nutraceuticals" because they don't require it. Sure, some of it may do some of what they claim, but I'd say the vast majority is hogwash. Just use common sense. Eat as natural as possible, exercise and drink a lot of water. There is nothing else that needs to be done. If you aren't able to get a reasonable variety of foods, especially vegetables and fruits, take a vitamin supplement.

Some fancy burger places put butter into the ground beef. So, just add some fat to it.

Finally - My Magazine Is Launched!! (And A Question)
adempsey replied to solopaddler's topic in General Discussion
IMO you have four options. 1) Only people who pay get the articles, both past and current. To me, this might make the best business sense. However, it's hard to know how many new subscribers you would get by offering something for free. 2) Publish abstracts of each article online for free. Basically, a very short summary of the entire article. This is what we do in science. You get a basic summary of what the researchers did, but you have to pay to get the full article. 3) Publish ONE complete article for free near when the issue launches or shortly thereafter, I'd say 2 weeks max. Hopefully this will draw business. 4) Similar to three, but publish ONE complete article from the archive for free instead of a new article. I wouldn't publish any of the older content online for free because access to archive issues is also something to sell. Unless, it's for advertising as per number four. Of course, ultimately, this all depends on how you plan to attract new customers. This is a business now and you have to treat it as such, otherwise, why bother doing it? Best of luck! -
Chiropody and Podiatry are all screwy in Ontario. I think only Podiatrists can bill OHIP and have a limited scope of practice. I don't even think all Podiatrists are recognized by the college either, because they changed the education requirements or something along those lines. I'd just go see your family doctor first and see what they suggest.

Is this type of trip a common thing? The last time I've done that was in University when single. I never though married men with children had guy only trips down south. Don't think my wife would approve, lol. Anyway, if I am being honest, the only time I've witnessed something like this is the person left out did something in the past and the rest are tired of their crap. Doesn't sound like this is the case, but sorry to say, that's my experience.

Very cool, thanks for sharing your experience! It's amazing you managed to pull that off.

Saw a similar one at TSC on sale for $50. They also have the little ones for $15 today for their Black Friday deals. So, when it breaks, not a huge loss. I'd pick up a quad instead. There are several on sale this weekend due to Black Friday. I picked one up at TSC for $60. It even has a built in camera. Some other places like Walmart and Staples have a Parrot drone for $99. These are smaller ones. http://flyers.smartcanucks.ca/canada/tsc-stores-flyer-november-26-to-december-3/single/1 http://flyers.smartcanucks.ca/canada/tsc-stores-flyer-november-26-to-december-3/single/2 http://www.redflagdeals.com/flyers/staples/weekly-black-friday-nov-25-to-dec-01-2015-56955/ Here's a video of that drone they're selling at TSC.

Whichever one had the nicest boats or maybe a boat-in or island lodge. All the lodges on Lac Seul are quite popular. Gawley's Little Beaver, Frog Rapids, Golden Eagle, White Wing, Evergreen, Goose Bay, Silver Water Wheel get mentioned often.

Lego is crazy expensive these days. Also has high resale value as a result. Not surprised there's a black market for it.

What's in them, a fusion reactor?

That is going to be one awesome trip! Hopefully something I can do before I die.

I believe there are smallmouth in there as well. I've only caught lakers though.

Rice Lake definitely turns over. I've fished that pea soup many times! Although, I don't think it takes too long. Probably should start happening in the next few weeks, if not already. I believe once the surface temperature is 4C/40F it's done turning over.

Nice video. I watched some of their other stuff and it's all impressive. One interesting thing I noted was the Beaver in the video is the same plane that was used as a model for the November 1999 Canada 25 cent coin.

I have a very very stupid deja-vu question NF
adempsey replied to misfish's topic in General Discussion
If you dream something and can recall it prior to experiencing the event, that's not deja vu. That's premonition. Got some lottery numbers for me? -
Thanks for the report! Beautiful fish, I don't think they come any better than that. Excellent photos as usual too! I am curious, does ORR stay fully booked in Sept/Oct ? Sounds like it...

I've tried Seaguar Red Line and PLine Fluorocarbon as main line and never liked it. Haven't tried any others and don't intend to.

I am questioning myself as to why I opened this post in the first place.......

If it were me, step 5 would be "Die a painful death" from misidentifying the mushrooms.
