  1. i feel like if they win the cup this year thats a wrap...im guessing his wife is not going to be very happy about him breaking his jaw. At what point does the punishment you put on your body become too much.
  2. chara is a tough sonofa, ya you can hate him for being a bruin, but i dont think i could get hit in the face and break my jaw and then just get up and spit out a mouth full of blood and calmly skate to the bench. Holy cow.
  3. definitely rent a boat, the shore fishing options at the park are somewhat limited to a small bay that sees a lot of lures by campers. As far as the fishing goes...its as good as anywhere on the planet for bass especially once it opens (i hope you arrive on the 22nd or later?) Walleye fishing is basically always tough unless its the shoulder seasons so you will have a lot more fun fishing bass and catching incidental pike. Whatever you do, if you rent a boat, either bring a good chartplotter along, or venture out very very slow. Sturgeon bay only recently got charted in the newest navionics update. It 100% has all of the fantastic lower end removing surprises that Georgian Bay is known for. (I still have no idea how the local outfitters can afford to rent out boats in PAB)The water is also tea stained until you get out through brignal banks to the main lake making it literally impossible to see the shoals while driving with the outboard. Take it extremely slow and do your best to follow local boaters to find your way.
  4. this is just horrifying...the fact that your disability would put you in danger due to the inability for you to take cover appropriately...holy cow I couldnt imagine. i agree lew, i have no problem with the cooler temps, give me a summer of 17 degrees every day and id be the happiest person alive. but i cant complain about the rain...after the fires last year, keep the rain coming.
  5. they usually are but then get off of them just in time. Although we might be so far behind that some bed fishing may be happening.
  6. Things heated up yet there Jimmer? I’ve got a bass derby next weekend on the opener. Thinking things are still very behind.
  7. Vision 110’s trick darters 3 inch haze dongs sonic sides pop max giant dog x s crank robin blade
  8. do you have any close up photos? just curious to see what those square bills are
  9. they are indeed, sail typically always has better pricing on pretty much everything...however the problem with sail is that they are also very commonly sold out of the niche products and brands. Hence why both TJames and I both asked them to try and carry those high end bass brands that are so difficult to get in canada. Right now we are still forced to order through tackle warehouse because stocking numbers are always iffy here in canada. JPro has been the only place to consistently have stock but its also a drive to markham that id much rather not make.
  10. GS is good...im glad the raptors are hanging with them. Their D is keeping it close and giving them an opportunity to win every night. Hopefully the series goes long. Win or lose I am loving watching this happen and what its doing for the city. I still say it every game, "i cant believe this is finally happening during my life time" Now if only the leafs could do it too...man its a fun ride, and I think we have all already won watching them get this far.
  11. If you guys create an online shop with these dealer exclusive brands (like tacklewarehouse), you will have a monopoly and that market will be your bread and butter. Remember your market...online shopping, tech savy...trying to beat Canadian Tire is impossible, furthermore the OG legends that are trolling in a tinner are not going to shop with you guys, The bass guys dropping $30 a lure and buying $40+ a spool fluorocarbon are where the money is at...were all still shopping at tacklewarehouse because its the only place we can consistently get what we need! Go where the money and competitive edge is! Especially because I am sure the margins on cheap tackle are ridiculously competitive.
  12. well...going to have to tell the old man about this one because all of our jackets aside from in my boat are all from the 90's and i guarantee most of them are totally faded out.
  13. At least i am not alone. Ive been fishing an absolute ton lately 4-5 days a week and its so hit and miss its ridiculous. The fish are also very very clumped up, if you are lucky enough to be fishing during an "on day" you might think its an "off day" until you run into some fish and all of a sudden you are going to get 2 3 or even 5 fish on 5 casts. Its crazy.
  14. sorry guys i was confused, the conservation limit only applies on the "ontario fishing" days where no one needs a license to fish. My bad!
  15. There will be more opportunities. im spending more time up here than ever. bite was pretty good on Friday, not so great again today as the water cooled off again. Pretty crazy seeing the water drop 3 degrees overnight and not warm up. We’re still stuck at 58 in the back bays and it’s june! Insanity
  16. Darn! i finally figured something out yesterday too. Got a mid 30’s northern. And a more consistent bite going switching some things up.
  17. Maybe more spread out because the Great Lakes are big, but there are absolute monsters around. Craziest one, have you seen the pike coming out of lake O right in Toronto?
  18. Gave the big white paddle tail a dunk this afternoon and success! Got my first half decent fish of the season. Thanks for the tip!
