need help !!!! regarding a co officer
Tom McCutcheon replied to bigredfisher's topic in General Discussion
Correct Lew. With a Conservation License, they have to be released boatside. Once you bring it in the boat for measurements and pictures it is now in your posession and against the regs. -
Some can, most can not...Like I said I think inexperience will have the trailer into the rear corner of the bumper in a heartbeat. Tom.

Just asking Bob and not trying to be a smart ass. Does that not make it easier to jack knife the boat and trailer into the back of your tow vehicle when in reverse? I hope you look back when your backing up LOL. Tom.

Mike, I would expect they are well into their lift by now. The weather is great so far. See you next week. Tom.

I was having the same problem last year. I think it was the stereo draining, even when the ignition was off. I put a battery switch in that shuts everything down when in the off position. Haven't had a problem since. You just have to remember to hit the switch at the end of a days fishing. Tom.

Camp Missanabie/Northern Walleye Lodge
Tom McCutcheon replied to asdve23rveavwa's topic in General Discussion
The last time I was at Happy Days was back in 1987. We had been regular customers for over 10 years. The fishing was always great and from what I have heard it still is. The only reason I am not still a regular customer is because I now live on Pigeon Lake and just kind of walk out my back door and go fishing..... You will not be disappointed. Tom. -

He is the boy who greets you at the entrance to Walleye Mart with a bright smile..... -
That is well done Lew. You know what would have looked real neat in that grain? I can almost picture a Muskie swimming along in it. Tom.

Awesome... when you flex your bicep does the tail move????

I don't think it would be legal. The thing that makes the TWO UPs semi legal is the longer wheel base. A regular ATV with a "tool box" seat on the short wheel base makes it top heavy over the rear wheels and a danger to flipping over backwards if you are not careful. I don't know about a snowmobile. Probably similar technicalities. Tom.

Stag & Doe Etiqutte.....totally non fishing...as 100% NF
Tom McCutcheon replied to Cookslav's topic in General Discussion
At my stag (42 years ago this summer) we played poker, watched movies and had a peeler. It was a great time. As far as money towards our future lives together, I ended up with cab fare home.......cause my best man was in no shape to drive. I did not expect or want any of my friends to pay my way. Things are different now and people have different priorities. Tom. -
I would use another battery connected to your kicker strictly for the downriggers, and other heavy use electronics, (radios, fishfinders etc.)connected to bot. This leaves the main motor with a fully charged battery for starting. Install a battery isolator or selector switch also. Good luck and enjoy your new toy.

snowmobile slams into ice hut on Chemong Lake

Perfect!!! How long did it take to look up that link LOL -
Wonder what Ron is up to next year......

I can vouch for Esnagami. It is a very comfortable and well run camp. More than enough walleye to keep you occupied and for shore lunches. Monster pike and Eric also will provide a guided day trip to a remote speckle river/stream for spectacular natural trout drift/wading fishing. At the end of the day there is a sauna to relax in before lights out. A lot of other good choices have been mentioned also. Book early, these places fill up quickly. Good luck and have fun.

Bought a Lund from a dealer in Southern Ontario and have had no issues with a small bit of warranty work handled by a dealer in Lakefield who was not the seller. 135 Merc Opti. The plugs are expensive and the number six one is difficult to get at but they do last as much as 300 to 400 hrs. The impeller does however need to be changed more frequently, very tight tolerances on it. Most of the usual maintenance was done by me/us and the warranty was still good so long as I kept the records and receipts for proof. Tom.

I too had those reels many years ago. The only bad point was the bail spring. After a lot of use they would become weak and need to be replaced. Three bail springs for $1.00 at most tackle stores. A 5 minute repair and back in business. Tom.

I would PAY to see this, would you?

As the Chairman of the Kawartha Lakes Chapter of Muskies Canada I want to thank Bly and her plunge partner for braving the cold waters of Chemong Lake. I know I speak for all the other warm and dry members. It is a good thing you are doing. All of the monies raised by this event are targeted for our Know The Difference sign project here in the Kawarthas. My pledge is registered also. And I think I just heard Brian at JB's sigh with relief. Another addict to venture into his lair.... Great story.

Satellite radio ( for vehicle and or cottage)
Tom McCutcheon replied to splashhopper's topic in General Discussion
I knew that happened back in November but they also added that it would be sometime in 2011 (early spring) when the merger was complete. At that time they would provide a combined program list from both XM and Sirius and you would choose your music, talk shows or sports as you like, similar to bundles on TV. If I read the article right. Tom. It really does make a difference for reception in certain areas, especially if you are driving 3 or 4 hours and listening to a ball or hockey game. -

Sirius and XM are going to merg as one in Canada, the same as they are in the States soon. It all depends on what you like to listen to. The music is basically the same but talk hosts and sports are different. If you listen to baseball and hockey then XM is the way to go. If basketball and football is your thing then go with Sirius. My brother has XM on his boat for the baseball and music and Sirius in his truck. Both are excellant however I think when the two merg he will probably switch the one in the truck over to XM programming. Tom. -
Sure hope 2011 goes out better than it came in.
