  1. Okay, stop walking or chewing...focus, focus, focus. The bird goes in the oven, the dishes go in the sink. And we didn't put the undercut under the counters to hide the dust, they were put there to accomodate womens feet to get closer to the sink. You know why wedding gowns are white?, goes well with the appliances. Now I'll retire to the bomb shelter. Oh ya, I do cook the bird. Somehow they don't understand that if you sleep in and don't get the bird in the oven early enough, cooking the bird at 5ooC for 2 hours does not equal 325F for 5 hours.
  2. That's too much information, I hope you've never been on any of the higher floors....
  3. I'd snap that up in a second if the motor is as clean as you say. The motor alone is more than double that new, as for being underpowered, take it for a spin, with 2 people and kit in the boat I'd bet a box of donuts it will hum along at a good 25mph/40km/h.
  4. a 25 is no problem, I have a 25Honda on a 16' aluminum, I've even seen up to 50's troll slow enough.
  5. So animals were put on this earth " for me and my use" according to your religion, maybe some people should learn to live a bit better in harmony with nature, and if that means invading their space a little less, or get their butt mangled, then so be it.
  6. You're right about being the highest debt ridden, however, I don't know about being the wealthiest. With the amount of debt/deficit they have, they wouldn't have the proverbial pot to whizz in if everyone collected on what they owe. On the other hand, maybe that's what they are trying to do, pay off their debts with "cheap" money. I'm glad books are in the green, I don't mind the present value of the loonie.
  7. Well Milty, if you look real close, you'll see the blood just ahead of CCMT's right hand, under the jaw and right in the corner of the mouth.
  8. The only difference in performance between a 2/4 stroke may be a couple of seconds at best, like going from 0 to blast off in a second or two less, meanwhile for the remaining hours you're trolling around the "blue could from hell" follows you around and makes you sick.
  9. I'm not putting any money on the " 2strokes last longer costless to repair" You don't hear too many 4 strokers grumbling about repairs compared to the 2 strokes, plugs fouled, oil inject pooched, carbfubar, etc.
  10. It's sloooow to say the least, years gone by it was no effort to hook up with 4-5 salmon of decent size a day, I only managed 2 over ten days this time.
  11. Ha, actually it's called the night shift, and this is the last one, 1800-0600hrs.
  12. Nobody stocks the Notty, all natural runs. Lack of water levels sure doesn't help. As for the Pine, remember it closes on 30 Sept for everything.
  13. Yes, the brand is important, from personal experience, stay away from the Frabil junk. I have the ex large one from Ranger, it has the 8' telescoping handle that slides down to 4' inside the hoop of the net.
  14. Well now, maybe not such a bad deal, put our own twist on it, maybe we can hatch some non lying politicians if they are bred by normal people.
  15. More and more people are going for the less stink and more eco friendly 4 strokes too. Two weeks ago I couldn't believe how far away you can smell that 2 stroke cloud during the Owen sound derby, phew.
  16. Not 100% sure, butBrentwood Marine off Tollendale Rd is listed as an OMC/Evinrude dealer, same as Johnson. That's just a little east of Minets Pt.
  17. And if you're not really careful, you may end up hooking up with one of those plump mermaids I saw basking in the sun today.
  18. Holdfast, you do everything that needs to be done. If it's not a true bona fide Honda mechanic, I wouldn't let any other mechanic touch it. Change motor oil, lower gearcase oil, oil filter if it has one, fuel filter, drain the carb and put it to bed until spring.
  19. Well, run down to your local "eco" water store and get some distilled water is best, refill to just over the top of the plates and recharge. Let it sit overnight and add a bit more water, no more than to the bottom of the fill holes where the slot is. If you have a turkey baster, suck up and squirt the fluid in and out of each cell a few times to equalize the acid and water mix, charge for another 4 hours or so. I'm not a fan of leaving some of those so called "trickle chargers" plugged in all the time. Something like a "Batter Minder" from VDC electronics is different, very low input, about 250mA. Check your batteries at least once a week until you figure out the pattern to keep the fluid level up. There's also another prduct out there called "Thermoil", some boohoo it, some swear by it. it's supposed to prevent most of the water from evaporating duing gassing(charging). I've got an old '98 Sears Diehard for the trailer, still going strong, gets less than an ounce of water a year. Maybe they will recover.
  20. Ha, that second photo has the right smile that says, mind your manners. Good to see some young ones are getting the proper training.
  21. I wonder if it's only the LED indicator lights that quit, if you use it for 24 hours a day for 180 days x 3 years would be just over 12K hours, some LEDs are rated for l;onger than that, but who knows. If you charge the battery(s) for 24 hours, then unhook them from the chargers and let them sit for 12 hours, not hooked up to anything, a fully charged battery should still read 12.65 volts with a good digital meter.
  22. I spent about 24 hours over the last 2 weeks up there fishing at the northern end of the derby area, catching was pretty dismal, but, the fish finder says they are there, just picky eaters. Most of the guys I know caught them on blue/silver Silver foxes or pink/pink dot or purple Lymans. Fish were found anywhere from 35/60 to 110/150 FOW, preferred temps were all over the place, every time you get a day of heavy winds, it seems the whole bay gets stirred up.
  23. That looks pretty much like a right off and total rebuild coming, could have been a tragic ending for someone. Hope they had some insurance. Kinda makes me glad my old trailer is a little further away from the big trees.
  24. Well there's always the option of coming up to Barrie, fish right at the foot of Bayfield St, there's parking right nearby and a couple of picnic tables at hand. Shore fishing will get you a variety of panfish with the odd bass and pike thrown in if you are lucky. If you get bored of that, you can take a quick walk or drive around to Centennial beach, about 1/4 mile around the bend right by the water fountain. Bait is available at Simcoe Bait and Tackle at the corner of Innisfil Rd and Tiffin St. Good luck.
