  1. If the motor has the spot for the electric starter, remove the little side plate and see if the flywheel has the toothed ring on it, if so, it's an easy install. If not, maybe not worth the effort.
  2. I would suggest you make it in the shape of an elongated "A", reason being, when you make sharp turns, the bars won't catch on the rear wheels of an ATV or skidoo track. I would go at least 4' long, use lynch pins for quick disconnect.
  3. Ah Bull, That's why Toro costs so much, they have to support the dealer network. But then again, you can buy Toro at HD and I don't see a lineup of mechanics there.
  4. Go take a look at ARIENS, they have been making snowblowers for a looong time, mines an old 7hp/24", 40 years old, yes 40. 2 mufflers, 2 belts and a tire tube.
  5. Heck, just keep him busy, cut the snow shovel in half, he should be pretty much burned out by bedtime, no hanky or panky left in him.
  6. That might be you if you get the guy nexzt to you "wet"
  7. I applaud her husband for making an informed intelligent decision, especially when travel has been indicated as not advisable
  8. Just like any other expanding city, everythig expands with it, traffic jams, potholes, crime, except the fish, they don't get any bigger. Like a couple others said, Innisfil, Thornton, just on the outskirts, but close enough.
  9. There is this "rule" called the 100' rule, if you go down 10', it should be 90' behind the ball, down 30', 70' behind the ball, 90' down, 10' back, etc. For me, all depends on how rough it is, the rougher, the shorter the lead I use.
  10. Dirt in/dirty carburator, if you are mechanically inclined, you can get basic rebuild kits from a small engine shop in your area. You will need to know the engine model and serial number to get the right kit. You may have a tiny bit of crud in the carb that will clog the jet once it's running, when it stalls, it drop back into the bottom of the bowl.
  11. Mid grade is on at PetroCan for $1.09 a litre, gives me about the same effect.
  12. I think she said up around Bancroft somewhere. And then the little tart is riding with NO helmet on the skidoo.
  13. Well in that case, you better give that Mayor of Essa Township a call, costs $20 to fish the Notty in certain areas around Angus.
  14. Don't know about others plans, I've been paying 26.01c per cubic metre on the pay as you go plan, no contract.
  15. Oh boy, this can be taken a few different ways in thought, the Pope is gonna be howling because you're limiting reproduction, the self righteous are gonna howl because it's their "right" to procreate, then there's the twits that haven't heard about the pill and can't figure out why they keep poppin out kids. I do believe it's getting to the point that the world is coming to it's limit of sustainable habitation. Nature does it in a different way, when critters run out of food, the population naturally drops, we just keep crankin out more fertilizer and grow bigger beans and sending food to overpopulated countries that can't support themselves.
  16. From what I heard, Kaufmann moved to the USA about 10 years ago or so. You can still get them... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&id=0006153
  17. Okay, I'll buy that, wasn't quite sure how much those diodes were capable of blocking.
  18. Had then now for about 12 years, still hot. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&id=0006153
  19. Not questioning your electrical prowess, but, I question running the main motor with switch in position 2, feeding power to the kicker battery and the kicker, don't know if the kicker alternator would like it.
  20. You would only need three batteries, 1 deep cycle/marine starting for the kicker and run the 'riggers. Then 2 batteries, 1 starting for the big motor and 1 deep cycle for the remaining accessories, lights, vhf, F/F, livewell, etc. Those two batteries are kept separate through an isolater only for the reason that when the big motor is not running, you will never run down the starting battery and be stranded. However whenn the big motor is running, it will charge both of those 2. If I can figure out how to draw some schematics for you, I'll do it a later today and post.
  21. Ha, Ha, they may have grabbed my attention by showing me a ad that I might remember, but, I would consider it nothing much more than something dreamed up by a bunch of cavemen/women. When I see that, I generally equate the commercial/ad and waste of money to that product and don't buy it.
  22. Not realizing you had a couple of extras there,(livewell, etc,) those could also be routed to a deep cycle that runs in parallel with your main motor through an isolator. That's easy enouogh to do. Again keep the kicker to run the 'riggers.
  23. Rant It seems like most of the auto/truck mfgrs have hired a bunch of pea brained idiots to come up with advertising, Jeep has a bunch of singing wildlife jumping in through the sunroof, then there's some Lion idiot growling at spanky looking women, the nutbar driving the Ford pickup on the dirtbike track, come on, can't they think of anything intelligent to entice buyers.
