  1. I'm all set
  2. I've only ever stayed at Merlins once and that was the 1st ever OFC fall g2g a few years back and it was a very positive experience. Myself & 3 others had a cabin booked and when I got there early I commented to the owners that the cabin may be too small for our group. Without hesitation they moved us into a large cabin, number 10 if I remember correctly, and only charged us the fee for the small cabin. I'd go back again.

    RANT!!!!

Lots of us worked in hot places Paul, ya just to have cool thoughts
  4. If I was limited to only one bait for muskies I'd make it a very large black spinnerbait with orange blades. You can fish it fast or slow, deep or shallow and it works equally well going over rocks, sand or thru thick weeds. It's also VERY productive being trolled or casted.
  5. Don't be intimidated by a baitcaster, their just another tool in the box and are very easy to use once you've had a bit of practice. Once you get the hang of it you'll be casting effortlessly and not even thinking about what your doing.
  6. And use the night stick to hold the donuts
  7. 14 day forecast for the Peterboro area shows declining temps starting this weekend and a high of only 8C in 2 weeks. I'll take 8C over a 35 humidex any day of the week
  8. Very very nice indeed !! Some serious talent for sure.
  9. Johnny, most of the guys I fish with use 71-01-200. I use 71-11-200 which is the same cutter, except it has a spring loaded handle which makes it easier to operate with one hand.
  10. Get yourself a set of Knipex cutters Pete, they cut thru big hooks like butter. If you need to cut heavy hooks in a hurry, like when you've got one in your hand and a nasty fish on the other end, those cheap CTC cutters are no good. Their expensive but well worth every $$$$ http://www.knipex.com/index.php?id=1216&L=1&page=group_detail&parentID=1367&groupID=1473
  11. Haven't heard of DSI since Jamie left the board Definetely some nasty spots around there if your not paying attention to where your going.
  12. I stopped bass fishing a number of years ago and had a ton of good gear I no longer needed so I sold everything. I had 5 Shimano V-rods along with Castaic & Curado reels and a bunch of tackle boxes full of lures and everything was just sitting here collecting dust. I also sold off 4 St. Croix musky rods that I wanted to replace with Compres Some went to friends and what was left was sold thru the OFC classifieds. Not much sense in having a bunch of stuff taking up room and not being used when someone else will appreciate buying it and saving a few $$$$ in the process.
  13. That's great Aaron, congrats on the win !! Amazing number of huge fish too.
  14. Happy B-Day my friend and all the best to ya !!
  15. Fun stuff Joey, good to hear you guys enjoyed your day. Looks like you've got your boat rigged up really nice now for downrigging.
  16. Nasty critter for sure Matt
  17. Good to have you back Rich, it's been a long time.
  18. Your right Joe, I DO like it and your gonna be real happy you bought it too, those Safari's are excellent vehicles that just keep on going. I've bought 2 brand new ones and drove them both for 5 years and never had so much as a hiccup with either one. And I agree with Dave, I don't know why they were discontinued. Hafta tell ya though, I'm pretty happy I've now gone over to the dark side
  19. Red line doesn't become invisible, it just appears black as it gets deeper. I think it's actually marketed to catch more fishermen than fish, but I could be wrong on that one
  20. Where bouts do you live Boss, it'll make it easier for folks to know who to recommend.
  21. Coulda been one of those nasty old St. Lawrence River muskies cruising along under your boat
  22. Fishmaster is a member of this board, why not just send him a PM yourself and ask whatever you need to know. He's a good guy and will answer all your questions.
  23. I'll have a pork chop instead, thankya very much
  24. Big chunky pike, really nice !! Been a very long time since that big girl was called a snot rocket.
