  1. I stored my last boat inside a barn for 9 winters and a bowl of mothballs on the floor kept it completely critter free. I know another fella that stored his covered boat outside a couple years back and the interior was completely destroyed by racoons.....carpets, seats, upholstery and wooden floor.
  2. Their great guys to deal with Jer and if they've got one in stock you'll be on your way in a couple minutes.
  3. Yeah, ain't that the truth. He always makes me think of someone who knows absolutely nuthin about bush survival and just barely lives long enough to be rescued. I think any kid off the street could do as well
  4. Very nice essay, and I'm in too.
  5. You'll also miss the downtown core of the city taking the route you gave. It's never fun driving thru Toronto but as the others have said, you'll be OK on a Saturday morning.
  6. If I speak to someone and they don't reply I just go on about my business and don't give it a 2nd thought. Life's too much fun to worry about trivial matters. If they ignored you Cliff, just chalk it up to their loss.
  7. I use a Tekota 600LC Pete and it's a great reel for trolling big baits. The line counter is also good to have so you know exactly where your bait is. Here's a review of it. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshimanotekota600lc.html
  8. Yeah, that'll make him feel better.....
  9. So, your saying it's OK for some folks to fish around docks and boats, but not others ??
  10. Thanks for that MB, another excellent story with fantastic pictures too. Oh ya, some pretty decent fish too
  11. I'd be pretty pissed too if someone hooked the seat of my boat and I can't say I blame the guy at all for that letter. A little bit of common sense goes a long ways.
  12. All your fishing tales are incredibly entertaining Mike, but I think this is your best story & pictures yet. As the old expression goes, I felt like I was actually along for the trip. Just REALLY good !!!!
  13. $200 is also what I payed for the certificate in May.
  14. Yup, definetely a good pike and congrats on reaching your 40" milestone.
  15. Nothing last night either but when I was out on the back deck at 4:30 this morning a large bright meteor shot across the sky directly overhead. Not exactly the Northern Lights but still a heck of a nice way to start the day.
  16. Good to hear you enjoyed your day off on the water Mo, and even got yerself a fish too We had a couple nasty little mini-storms go thru here this afternoon with high winds and heavy rains but it sounds like you missed them on the Bay....fortunately.
  17. It's very dark here at night and last night cleared up beautifully with even the stars shining but the Northern Lights failed to show up. Hopefully tonight.
  18. Thanks Ron, next time I'm down that way I'll stop in for a look.

    uh oh

The embarrasment in front of his peers will probably hurt alot more than a monetary fine. How could you ever face anybody again ??
  20. I'm not familiar with BJ's but it's nice to hear of folks who will step up and help out a couple total strangers.
  21. Congrats to your daughter Dave, that's one heck of a catch
  22. I picked up a small dry bag from LeB's a few years back and it works well. Maybe 6" X 15" or so.
  23. And also the bigger the bait, the wider the wobble. I normally run the 10" models which have a fairly wide action, but I also use 13" versions(straight) and they cover twice as much ground again. Excellent trolling baits !!
  24. The lakes are drained down a few feet in the fall so as not to have any flooding in the spring when the snow melts. Trouble was, Ontario had very little snow last winter, along with a dry spring, so there was no spring runoff to fill the lakes again. A normal snowfall next winter should bring things back to where they should be......hopefully
  25. Aikmens is excellent and will give you an honest price.
