  1. Yep you made the deal in a Chrysler dealership office with a Chrysler employee being paid by Chrysler and then when you need to deal with something you find out it is a second party you must deal with some office at doesn't have an address . I don't want to say it's only Chrysler because all the big car dealers and small Mom and Pops sell you the product from a second party. They all have Insurance companies that all deal with all the big 3 and all the European and Asian manufacturers. My wife recently bought a used Kia from a Ford dealer and wanted her to sit down for 30 minutes with the dealers business kid to go over the myriad of extended warranties. I said to him to not waste his time and more importantly hers and mine to sell he insurance policy. The 20 something year olds response was basically we couldn't buy the car unless he could go through the entire pitch. I told him to go see the Sales Manager we just made the deal with that we are cancelling the deal and she wants her deposit back, go, now, hurry up, I'm hungry. We just walked out while he was looking for him. But was only doing the job he was given and I respect that, but No is No thank you. I actually called back to ask a question about the paperwork he gave her and never received a return call. I know what As Is means, I watch Judge Judy. By the way she and we are happy with the Kia Optima after 2 months. More than 1/2 the fuel consumption on that 220 HP 4 banger than my 1/2 ton Chevy, at least, probably more. 2 fill ups a week in winter with the 4X4 when she drove it daily for her safe winter commute, now she passes gas stations for 2 weeks and it never goes below a quarter.
  2. Man that is some great video, good on ya Pump. I can't tell with the depth of field how much line you had out. Doesn't look like much, how much? Not that many years ago you would need Professional video equipment at big bucks to get that in a lesser resolution. Good job. Pump knows video for sure. I have to add that shad at 6 minutes is very life like. We spent many hours underwater diving watching bait and fish chasing it, that shad works fantastically. Almost exactly what I saw many times underwater. You should sell it to the manufacturer. Too late now I guess. You video guys shouldn't be to quick to post it publically unless you copyright it. Another discussion I imagine.
  3. I give you permission to take the day off. If they have a problem with that have them Twitter me. @rizzogetsthedayofforelse.
  4. I am actually watching a game. Winterpeg vs. Nashville. Some good back and forth Hockey so far. I have never been to Winnipeg and I'm not going back. I don't think you can get two cities as diametrically opposed as these two. One is the birth place of Country music and arguably Rock and Roll and the other is,,,,,,,, I'll get back to you. Nashville just scored, 2-1. I am impressed how Tennessee has embraced the game, amazing to say the least. I've been there many years ago. Saw the guy that had the song about "Walking down Beal St." playing it in a Holiday Inn. Great tune. I need to Google it. Anyone know what I am talking about. I could sing it but you can't hear me. 3-1 Winnipeg. Go White Outs. Great slogan for that place. Has been in place for over 30 years I heard today on the radio, never heard it before, then again you know I don't get out much these last few, or many years.
  5. Yep, a rumour, no evidence no acquittal. You should have seen the hot babe I took to dinner last night. No pics either.
  6. I got a call around 9 from a buddy that wanted to splash his boat for the 1st time this year and do a check out run and asked me to come along. Was on the Grand River at Dunnville 45 minutes latter. We did a short run down river and back up as I watched for deadheads, they are out there, beware and stay dead centre of the river, lots of sand bars because of fast high water this time of year. Might as well bring a few rods and a handful of shrimp from the freezer. I know a secret Cat hole close to the Dunnville Dam. It is very close to the south shore about 200 yards from the bridge. It drops straight down 15' and then comes back up to 5'. A perfect hole for Big Cats, on the banks, dark and colder water, 3 out of 3. Not so secret now eh guys. Only accessible by boat. I have 2 rods all set for Cats. Med-Heavy baitcasters with 30lb braid, a ball barrow wt. of 3/4 oz. and a razor sharp circle hook, #4 or #5 I think. Hook a uncooked Shrimp on it, a splash of scent and drop the line into the hole. You can't get any simpler than that. 5 minutes latter buddy got a nice 10 pounder and 5 minutes after that I swear I caught the same fish. Jim hooked into a monster that he couldn't get off bottom. Even with the drag set dangerously tight he couldn't move it. I was sure he caught a deadhead until the deadhead finally moved a few feet and Jim knows how to handle a big fish. 25 minutes into the struggle the fish started to sound. Just after she moved he lost it. The braid came off at the hook, what a shame, the knot is a year old, man I'm getting lazy. I was kind of glad to a degree, OK happy because I was starting to freeze my fingers off. It might be 20 something in town but with that wind whipping down the river it ain't no 20 on the river, maybe 9C, maybe. Sorry no pics, I'll take a picture of a Cat if it tips the scales at 15 pounds. Actually I didn't think of it, maybe there will be a next time. There were a few other boats out there but not many. They are probably off the water by the time I have my 1st Cappuccino. If you guys do head this way and want to launch at The Dunnville Yacht Club because of the construction of the new Farmer's Market there is very little parking if any. Head to Fishmaster's or the BBQ joint. Look for my now not so secret spot. Huzzaba my man. Ali when I get the StarCraft running I'll PM you and get you out here as promised. The buds are starting on the Sugar Maples = Cat Time!! EDIT: Downed peel the Shrimp and in cleaned/uncooked work best for us. I think the shell feels more natural to the Cat, like a soft shelled crab.
  7. Broken body and all we went and hit a few little white balls around yesterday on the north shore of Erie. I hit a drive 377 yards. Back into the wind the ball went maybe 75 yards! Buddy hit a wedge into the green and it ended up 20 yards behind him. Yep fairly windy. Guys we have building houses in Hamilton like that since the early 80's. There was a time second levels could be 2X4 24" on center. I'm surprised they are still standing. You can't buy one of them today for less than 600K. Many of those roofs and sheathing were replaced just 10 years latter. There was an entire sub division off of Upper Ottawa that had to replace everything 10 years latter. The residents filed a Class Action and the builder just went under only to re appear a few years latter under a different Corp. I'd rather buy a home build pre 78' then buy a house build between then and now. A fellow is building a place on the Lakeshore down the road, I asked him "No Hurricane bracing?" What's that? The shingles they put on 2 weeks ago are out in the bean field across the road.
  8. BassMan. Hard work and success go hand in hand, hard work is a given, it is the responsibility one is willing to accept that turns that hard work into $$$ yes. If that Wilson guy represents todays NHL that right there is probably the reason why I'm no longer a fan. The NHL doesn't agree with you the hit was a result of physics that was unavoidable. An article I read about this Goof Tom Wilson. http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/news/tom-wilson-suspension-timeline-history-details-fines-capitals-penguins-zach-aston-reese/k3plwl8lfkot11flpw7ah3yf7
  9. I struggled with a lower end Shimano for years to the point I only used it to troll. I tried and tried, sometimes casting out back in the snow. Then I discovered that you just can't cheap out on a Bait Caster. The money I spent re spooling because of carbunklements I could have bought the most expensive Shimano out there. I use a Curado now that I bought used. I have not had a bad carbuncklement the 4 years I have had it.
  10. You make more money the more responsibility you have not the harder you work. I looked back a bit and didn't see anything here about this Tom Wilson Goof. The guy just wants to cripple someone and he smiles after breaking a guys jaw and concussing him. Someone needs to punch the guy out, on the ice or in the parking lot after the game. Maybe even on his own bus back to the Hotel by his team mates. There is no place for a guy like that in any sport in 2018, at anytime really. Is there no payback in Hockey any longer?
  11. A house trailer, part of anyway, got hung up on shore after the ice broke on The Grand. Part of the deck was still attached. I've seen everything from picnic tables to bicycles along the shore of the river in the spring. I go slow chasing Cats this time of year, that river is full of stuff besides muddy waters.
  12. You have excellent compression. I would also look for a strong stream from the cooling overflow also known as the pisser and the overflow water should be cold.
  13. Years ago a few fellow Citiot buddies of mine caught a few similar, a few stringers full thinking they were Crappie. And I ruined a new knife trying to clean a few.
  14. Yep, field device malfunction. I've tried to re enact that failure many times as diligently as an NSB investigator to no avail. Luckily because of the make up of your cranium you popped right back to the surface. Good luck on the water this year Big Guy and stay safe.
  15. So did I. I also watched a poor guy have his brand new 14' boat slide off those ice like bunks about 5 feet short of the water. Totaled the engine and transom. Not funny though. The funniest thing in the last few years was watching a few guys try to pull their 1/2 sunken 20 foot glasser up a hill and out of the water. They put a strap through the bow eyelet and tied the other end to the hitch on a 1/2 ton, not a 4X4. They try to pull ahead and the boat stays where it sits. A discussion ensues and they try again. The truck and boat move about 3 feet and then the boat slides back in the water but doesn't stop where it was stuck in the muddy bottom. It goes 15 feet further back than it was and so the truck flows it right into the creek water up to the windows of the cab. The driver had to crawl through the window to get out. Finally they get a tractor and someone came up with the novel idea to pump most of the water in the boat out before they try again. The funny but sad part was the owner of the little marina next door to their marina suggested they pump the water out first and they should use a good 4 wheel drive vehicle to pull a boat up a slippery hill.
  16. I was by yesterday, with all the rain the water at the dam looks like the US rapids above the Falls and the river is high and fast. I wait until the buds start on the trees to fish the river.
  17. I don't get out much, I've never heard of this INCEL thing until last night. A similar motive in California a few years ago because some guy couldn't get laid. I don't get it. I'm sure glad I'm not in my 20's today. Thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families and those that had to witness this thing yesterday. Man what world do we live in today?
  18. Too early to say exactly the motivation but I think we sadly all know exactly what it was. Seconds ago CBC reports bodies seen on street covered in tarps. 1 man in his 20's arrested.
  19. One Bass in the entire west end of the lake and it bit the big one.
  20. You need to relax man. I DO NOT need to read anything carefully as 'I'm not being paid to pay attention. Relax will you, it's a discussion forum for God sakes and nothing more. Will there be a test?
  21. I missed it Chris, thanks. Sometimes I get worked up and post without reading through all the posts. Latin blood.
  22. I couldn't agree more big guy. I have a question, what colour are the buckets of those of mixed race? Come on guys poachers do not have a specific ethnic background. Most are gone now but I have fished and hunted with guys that I loved dearly but they kept each and every fish they caught and each and every bird they shot. Their common denominator was they all survived the depression, WW2 and a few of them Prisoner of War camps, including my Uncle.
  23. PG rated Brudder, but I almost fell out of my highchair. Good one, laugh of the week, thanks I needed that.
