I will. Hopefully I have a few years left in these bad bones before that happens.

I have a 1995 StarCraft Superfisherman 190 in the driveway. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
-
It's a "limited" lifetime warranty from StarCraft on the hull and structure. Just as is for Lund. Like house shingles the depreciation is huge.

Are you 110% positive? If you are and can prove it let the cops deal with them. Don't go off 1/2 cocked. It's just not worth it Rick. I didn't think like that 20 years ago and things just got out of hand several times over the years, things just escalate until someone gets hurt badly. Learn through others mistakes.

It can't be cheap, nothing is at $100.00 plus for labour now. I was floored when my guy told me I should change all the fluids in my 11' Chev Silverado at 90K now. $1100.00!!!

Rick I told you of the story about the guy I worked with. All 3 vehicles wouldn't start. Kids were playing "gas station" and filled the tanks with water.

SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a bit disappointed in episode 7. Taro makes that show. The Manitoba guy is definitely imitating the Linder's when he goes into his Chicago accent. I was impressed that they jury rigged the impellor in the parking lot. I wouldn't know where to start but now I do, that I liked. Wouldn't one need to put some type of sealant between the bottom end and the shaft housing?

Going on 2 weeks and still no car? And I thought my choice of garages was limited out here. Those vehicles are getting long in the tooth, time to shop around. The Jeep is going on 17 years old. The mystery continues.

What a surprise, not really.

This is indeed very sad and frustrating. I don't have any numbers to quantify my gut feeling but it seems many more have lost their lives on the water this past winter and this spring. With all the bombardment of information coming at us from 360 degrees many would have learned by now that waters in this country are deadly cold. Even in lakes during the summer. I put my inflatable on before I get in the boat and only take it off when I get to the truck. Will it save me from hypothermia, no, but it may get me those few precious minutes I might need. When I hear that guys here can't afford an inflatable I want to scream. They are $99.99 now (on sale regularly at Fishing World, Hamilton). I bet the 1 rod and reel in their hands is more, just 1. Experience is a lifetime of mistakes, wisdom is not making them again. Many never get the chance to be wise, let us learn through their experiences and mistakes, please.

I was a believer that all sunglasses were the same, just buying a designers name, not so. I finally got good glasses and I can SEE the difference now.

Wormer, you need professional help for your OCD. With all that stuff why do you only use a red and white bobber and worm on a hook? Drift I'm not much of a betting man anymore but I'll give you 10 to 1 you are a single guy. If I told my wife that the room was after I straightened it up she would tell me to do it again. She is a 6 foot blond with an Austrian/Russian background, I do as I am told or I shall suffer badly, the pillow alone would get me a week in the "cooler". Ya vole mine Capitan. I think it looks just dandy.

Hamilton Bassmasters swap meet, who's going?
Old Ironmaker replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
No tight leash here sonny boy, it's a strong chain. Not really something called Calsia Calcinosis. No fun walking when it's so bad I couldn't stand Sat. AM. Plus my wheelchair is in to switch the winter tires. I really was pissed off when I woke and tried to get out of bed. Maybe a spring GTG? I know a guy that has an aquarium out back of his place where we can watch the Bass and Carp spawn. It really is something to see guys. -
It's a mess out here today. Kohler Rd and Fisherville have 2 foot plus drifts and now freezing slush across them. 8" of snow at least came off the lake last night now it's -7C and the wind is picking up from the NW. I see my wife took the 4X4 truck when I woke up. She's getting smarter, I just filled it up yesterday. I was going to switch over tires yesterday, not yet.

No glasses on my boat, no fishing. I always carry a few extra pair of polarized sunglasses onboard. I once buried a hook in my brother in laws eye. We were getting off the boat and a worm harness let go from the rod. He opened his eye and the hook just fell out. Lucky. I know many that don't wear glasses or shoes onboard. I thing that's just being irresponsible. A guy I knew almost lost his foot with an infection from fish slime or whatever gets into a small cut on the hands or foot.

Slow as molasses in January as Mom says still. a baseball game can be timed with a Sun Dial. That's why I watch Blue Jays in 30.

For the new; or, soon to be, parents

Love the Fire Tiger Rattlin Rap. Baby's like rattles, no? -
I would have to shovel the snow to get the boat out. We have about 4" and counting up to now. This weather is just ridiculous. 2 weeks ago at Cayuga Golf Course the parking lot was nearly full and folks out with shorts.

After some lengthy discussion here about good quality glasses some time ago I broke down and got a pair of Maui Jim's with prescription lenses last spring. I'm afraid I am going to lose them every time I put them on though. I used to get 10 to 15 pair for that price. I do see the difference between cheap and not so cheap. A huge difference.

Make sure you fish below Burleigh falls. A great fishery. -
Wind turbines to go at Sandbanks Park
Old Ironmaker replied to KLINKER's topic in General Discussion
There is a third reason for the blades not turning, not enough wind. As far as the buck a KWH, yes it came from a group that fought the building of the wind farms here. -
How often should you repack the wheel bearings
Old Ironmaker replied to RickOnt's topic in General Discussion
Yep. -
If you bring down a few old carbs from early 60's or late 50's small block Chevy, Chrysler or Ford they will let you marry their daughters. I have fished from the boat slips in and around Veradero and had a blast with medium tackle. One Peacock Bass after another. Bring plenty of tackle to leave there, it will be much appreciated as well as anything baseball related. But anything auto related for old model US cars and they will lose it. I will next time.
