  1. Wow, nice gators dude! There are some giants in that gallery! Just some good fishing right there.
  2. I went muskie fishing twice in the moon river area and struck out both times, 3 days each trip and not a follow either trip so i cant really help you much myself
  3. It means he cant help you much without knowing your experiance with muskies in general, as you are new here nobody knows. Maybe an introduction would help...
  4. Wow, words dont do it justice! Trip of a lifetime indeed!
  5. Im terribly sorry for your loss wayne, my heart and thoughts go out to you and your family
  6. I have to disagree with the lack of sensitivity with an ugly stick, ive used anything from a medium light to an extra heavy and have had no issue detecting small hits for anything ive fished for. I had a 8'6" med heavy that i used for carping and i could see when they sucked the bait up no problem. My wife has a 7' medium action that i have used to jig for pics and could feel the tiniest perch nibble. I think the line and the setup and the rod action all play a big role with sensitivity but you simply cannot beat an ugly stick for the price.
  7. One thing i agree with for sure is getting a good bend in the rod, i crank the rod till im all but certain its going to pop out by itself. I can tell if a 10" shaker is on instantly. I use the scotty rigger clips on the strong setting and bury the line in the clip every time as well.
  8. Thats cool, i cant wait to fish with my daughter
  9. Awesome report brian! Thats a heck of a morning!
  10. Haha awesome
  11. Fidel does seem like a pretty laid back dude, and he makes a helluva flouro leader too!
  12. Lol good point, id say anything with a fish in it.
  13. Beer and fire tiger spinners? Lol
  14. Sorry to hear that chris, maybe you can get lucky in craigslist or kijiji if they are dumb enough. These stories are just too common and i hope yours has a better ending than most. Good luck bud. Edit to add, bird season is coming to simcoe ill keep my eye out for anything matching that description this fall.
  15. Terrible year for us, nowhere near the number of matures we normally see and a lack of teen kings as well. Normal amount of shakers and steehead, only 1 coho all season as well. I only fished out of bluffers so guys out east may have a different story.
  16. A terrifiying incident to be sure, i hope everyone will be ok. Not surprising that it happened though the idiots i see on the water frankly appal me.
  17. Looks like a good time! Great report!
  18. I have a 100lb american bulldog that sleeps in the bed with us, it was cute when she was a puppy but its painful now! She snores like a banshee and her talons will dig into you in the middle of the night when she stretches. My advice, if you dont want a dog in your bedroom at night you gotta start when they are just puppies.
  19. Nice fish man those are pigs!
  20. Rubes.... Soooo many rubes... Hahaha Brian i rarely keep anything so people arent coming over because they see me catchin, i think they just wonder if im on to something so far away from the crowds, not too many jumbos in 3ft of water if you know what i mean.
  21. 6 feet? Haha sounds about right. At the beginning of march we moved the permanent hut way in shallow probably 1500-2000 ft. from the next nearest hut, lo and behold 4 guys on one 4 wheeler roll up and start fishing not 30 feet from us... I was speechless lol.
  22. I dont like it when people get too close to me so i try stay away from them, even ice fishing cooks bay where people pack together like sardines i will find a spot thats minimum hundreds of feet away to set up my portable.
  23. Nice trip man looks like a blast!
