  3. Rip. Beautiful fish too!
  4. I read somewhere that blue walleye were simply lacking a pigment in thier skin that normally produces thier golden colour. It was a minor genetic mutation.
  5. Awesome day!
  6. Thats terrible, im sorry for your loss
  7. Nice job on the win, and my wife thought i was insane to pay 450 for my calcutta... Yeesh
  8. Its a tough call, i regularily pick up garbage and debris while im fishing so it could happen, if i saw that the marker still had a weight on and wasnt just floating around id probably leave it. That said if i did pick it up and that was the reaction id be pretty upset, where these people get the nerve to yell and scream obscenities in front of a child is beyond me. Sometimes you cant win the world is full of mindless a holes who do and say stupid stuff for little to no reason or with little to no provoking. As i get older its easier for me to walk away but if someone pulled that in front of my daughter i cant imagine it ending well. I hope you can let it go and continue to enjoy your time on the water. Good luck man.
  9. Honestly i think that you got a nice day, i have seen some downright nasty chop on lake ontario. This sat was the first where id had seen rollers on lo in the 8-9 times ive been down, a couple of my past trips it was pretty rough.
  10. Nice work pete, ive been hearing some big ones are coming around now. I guess ill find out for myself tommorow
  11. I dont need a datastamp to see people fishing oos... I can yell at them from my backyard april to june?
  12. There are apps out there you can get that will do the same as photobucket and remove the gps coordinates, 9 times out of 10 i wouldnt care if people knew but there are exceptions. If i had to do years of searching and ground work to find a lake in the bush that finally produces what i want, i wouldnt want the whole of the internet to know too. However i might trade it for another spot from a member via pm. The app i have is called koredoko i believe.
  13. That looks awesome, guess i gotta plan a lotw trip now too. Sweet fish fellas
  14. Nice fish man!
  15. Haha i saw this on another forum as well, beautiful fish
  16. Awesome man! I can wait till my daughter is old enough to hold a fishing rod!
  17. Right where i live there was something crazy going on, blew a neighbours pool across the canal, knocked over a 40+ foot tree 2 doors down that nearly crushed his house and there was a path carved through the swamp across the street that ripped down probably 50 or more trees and ripped the tops of the other half. Ive seen some pretty intense weather before but this was bad enough that i told my wife to go into the basement with the baby. Im not sure what is was but it was the worst wind ive ever seen and after when we drove around we noticed all the damage was in a small area the rest looked like normal storm damage. More comin so stay safe out there
  18. Cant argue with that lol, at one point i paid 600 a month for liability, now with my smarter driving habits i only pay a couple hundered a month for 2 vehicles and full coverage on both for myself and my wife.
  19. I fight every single ticket i get now wrong or right, i pay the guy from ticket experts 250 and 75% of the time the ticket is gone. It doesnt matter if its 1 ticket or 10 its still 250. The worst thing i ever did was just pay all my tickets when i got them because it cost me a fortune in insurance. Now that im gettin older i havent got one in a while but i got quite i few when i was in my early 20s. Its either all or nothing if you pay it your insurance knows about it if you fight it you at least have a chance at getting rid of it and thats worth it every time imo. Good luck.
  20. Yea its been a rough year for sure, ive never spent so much time in 300+ fow but thats the only place i can consistently get hits of any size.It feels like we are a month behind, this is how i would be fishing end of june not end of july. Thought i would add i hadnt seen a lamprey this year until we were bringing in a low teens king near the end of the day and it had the biggest one i have ever seen hanging off of it, the fish got off when it ran into a rigger so i wasnt able to kill it but this lamprey looked like it was over 3 feet long it was disgusting. I feel bad for the fish jeez.
  21. Sorry ff is flasher and fly
  22. Ice fishing its 60m (197 ft) which seems like a lot, im not sure if that applies to all fishing or just ice fishing though and thats all ive ever found. You must also have a clear unobstructed view at all times. Its to limit undue stress on the fish swimming around with a mouthful of hooks while nobodys watching their gear. Ive prob never been more than 20 feet from a carp rod and ive had one pulled in that was literally right beside me. I agree with holding your rod and working the bait and all but my arm would fall off if i held the rod the whole time carpin haha.
  23. Went out for a loooonnnggg day of fishing starting around 630 am and running till 830 pm with a quick lunch break in the middle. Water was cold on top no thermocline no bait no hooks no nothing. There was a pile of boats in tight so we started around 230 fow and worked out, we came in once the traffic cleared but there was nothing in shallow. We started the morning shift going 5 for 10 with small kings and bows all coming in 300 feet+ mostly on ff. the afternoon shift went over four hours without a hit until we picked up a screamer out deep as i was letting a dipsey out. She bounced around 25lbs so i let her go as i figure it wouldnt survive the week. The rest of the day was a slow pick at smaller kings bows and one coho. I really hope the big girls come out soon, im missing those days of multiple 20+ lb fish being the norm. Tightlines!
  24. Scary stuff, the odds of keeping them out dont look good at all.
