  1. Hi Everyone, heading to callendar bay tomorrow and its my first time fishing there this time of year. Any ideas on what i should use or where i should try fishing? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bing
  2. Any ideas what the black flys and mosquitos will be like May 24 weekend? Heading to Restoule for five days
  3. I have been going to Gogama the last week of June for about 10 years now and we always have lots of pickeral to eat, even good luck at some bass and whitefish. We have been staying at www.minakwalodge.com very clean and upto date housekeeping cottages....seems like they make more improvements every year. They also have a nice marina with hydro hookups to charge the batteries, we have been travelling in a group of twelve and bring 4 boats with us, it is a very reasonable week cost wise (we rent two cabins). I also flew to a remote lake from Air Ivanhoe that's in Foleyet, went around August 17, 2011 and it was the best fishing I ever had. We counted the pickeral that we caught and released on the Wednesday and it was a total of 65 for dad and myself. I would definetly go to one of there camps again. No matter where you go I am sure you will have a good time, I found that its a must to have a portable fish finder and do your research on the internet before you go to find where they are catching fish and what method they are using. Good luck, Bing
  4. Hi everyone, I am looking to go pickeral fishing on the May 24 weekend. Have been to Bay of Quinte last two years and was thinking of something differant this year. Any ideas?
  5. Hi All, Was wondering where the best fishing could be had, on callander Bay or the West Arm for the may 24 weekend. Also any recommendations for a cottage would be appreciated. Thanks, Bing
  6. Hi Guys, I have a wedding later Saturday afternoon and want to take my boat down to St. Catherines. Can anyone give me some ideas of what I should use and what Marina is best to go out of. I have downriggers and rods and normal fishing stuff. Thanks for your help. Bing
  7. Thanks for everyone's help, my boat isn't set up for planer boards, but I do have downriggers which I will try, as well as in front of the cement plant. The countdown is on, can't wait. Bing
  8. Hi, It has been a while since I used this board but it is always full of lots of information. I have booked a cottage at Cottages of Treasure Cove for the May 24 weekend. I was wondering if anyone has any fishing tips or techniques that they could share with me. Hopefully the weather is better than today's. Thanks, Bing
  9. Dumb question....what date is the season opener...what kind of equipment do we use that time of year...downriggers? I have never fished Quinte. Thanks Rick
  10. Thanks for all of your replies guys, I guess I will bring the oil filter back. My 9.9 is a 2007 or 2008 and definetly no oil filter. All the maintenance is done now it is time to FISH.
  11. I read in the owner's manuel to replace the oil and oil filter every 100 hours or once a year. I called my local Mercury dealer and asked for a oil filter and gave him the serial number. They actually ordered one in and I have it. I can't find one on the motor. Boy do I feel stupid.
  12. Hi guys thought I would do a little maintenance on my 9.9 Mercury fourstroke. I ordered a oil filter for it and not that I have it, I can't find where the oil filter even is LOL. Can anyone give me a hint. Thanks, Bing
  13. Hi All, this is a great website for a lot of fishing information. I am looking for a website that specifically gives fishing reports for the lake huron, lake erie, and st. clair river & lake. Thanks for your help. Bing
