  1. Nice work! Unfortunately didn't have time to watch all but caught some highlights. By the way...those el cheapo frogs...give em a squeeze and the water come out and they do float for a cast or two. Having said that, I have had hits on the frog when its sinking and I reel it in under water. My bigger issue is...I get hits on this frog but can never seem to hook fish well enough to land it.
  2. wish I knew that. I once paid a guy $90 to replace the fuel lines...then sold my chainsaw for $100....good times
  3. that was crazy. Vegans come across as total idiots. Fisherman shows unbelievable restraint. Disgusting that they bring children into this.
  4. "if asked tell it was the guy with the Tracker" ...ya I bet he has only ever worked on one tracker with a cracked hull
  5. people drive lawn tractors etc over septic...would corner of shed but that much heavier?
  6. Just started last year with dipsey's...I think my leaders are around 8 feet long or so and that works fine.
  7. weird...when we had a cottage we rented I always just put the year behind things that mattered IE 9.9 mercury outboard (2010), deck overlooking water (2012), canoe (old but it floats) etc That way you didn't have to decide how new something had to be to be considered new.
  8. nasty
  9. people will go there for the awesome fishing, not sure why they over-hype the cabin. They should be honest about their ascomodations so people know exactly what they are getting. For years I rented a cottage that was pretty dumpy...but I KNEW it was pretty dumpy. It was my decision to stay there knowing exactly what I was getting. And am I gonna complain about a leaky shower and crappy bbq? No..because for the price I paid I was happy to just have a roof over my head. If its advertised as new, and you pay like its new, that's not acceptable. Having said that, I would do the same as you...not gonna argue for refund or discount, just get out and tell the truth. Great fishing but accomodations and boats not as advertised
  10. not sure which is the best as I have only fished L Muskoka. We have had no trouble catching pike there, some a pretty good size.
  11. Not a clue about those spots but welcome to the board
  12. Awesome! Some great fish there and what a way to spend a couple days
  13. If you want scenery as part of the package nipissing or magnetewan river near Britt. If its strictly about the fish then St Clair. Or how about Ottawa River or Thousand Isles area? I have never been to the last two but they certainly should be on the list!
  14. Wow that is one heck of a report. I sure know the part about getting up in the middle of the night to check on how secure the boat is in the middle of a rainstorm! Been there done that. Never seen so many awesome fish together, well done.
  15. I fished it once out of a canoe about 20 years ago...skunked...one of those windy days makes you wish you weren't in a canoe
  16. Nice report, thanks for taking the time to post it! Just wondering though if you caught that first pickerel in the water or was it trying to burrow a tunnel somewhere? That sucker is dirty!
  17. I have only ice fished it...not sure about access during the summer. I do know this...its electric motors only
  18. Looks awesome! Great memories made there for sure
  19. the fact it was going after more lunch is the crazy part
  20. Nice to hear someone getting out! I have not been out yet...the boat sits in the garage waiting patiently
  21. sounds like a heck of a good way to spend a morning!
  22. 54 inch 40lb musky
  23. Right on. Nice fish and welcome to the board
