...and out of that $2500, Dodge actually got the bulk of it is my understanding...xwrp only a few hundred (I have been fighting this for weeks now, probably 40-50 calls and emails to both xwrp and Dodge)Yet this Dodge employee is basically saying, yes I took your money, yes I told you don't use the warranty you get your money back, no I am not going to help you get it back you are on your own I got my commission

Exactly. We did everything they asked... there are 4 or 5 things they ask you to send in...so we did. Then they send me a letter saying we are declined because we did not provide all service records. Of course, they never asked for these service records to be sent in the first place! Just instant decline. So now I am left trying to track down all service records for a 5 year old van. This isn't the easiest...one place we used is out of business, etc etc. Pain in butt. Having a hard time getting all the records...one of our oil changes was in Myrtle Beach! All Dodge said when they convinced me was "don't use the warranty, you get your money back".

Bought an extended warranty back in 2013. Initially adamantly refused to even listen to the sale pitch. Lady (and I use this term loosely) convinces me to listen...she swears up and down "don't use the warranty you get all the money back" Stupid me. I buy it to the tune of $2500. Now I am fighting tooth and nail with Waterloo Dodge to get my money back and nobody willing to pay up. And no, I did not use the warranty. Dodge is refusing to help, Saying the problem is with the insurer (xwrp). I have already jumped thru the hoops XWRP is sending my way and they keep looking for loopholes. Sad thing is, I sat with a Dodge rep,, gave my money to Dodge rep, signed a contract with a Dodge rep,... and what does this same sales person tell me now? Hire a lawyer, Apparently her unhappy customers hire lawyers to get back the money they were promised. Craziest thing? That employee is now the manger. Do car dealerships reward dishonest actions with promotions? Has anyone else heard of this or am I the only one being poorly treated by Dodge refusing to stand by their word?

terrible tragedy indeed

yipes. I would imagine (or hope) that this is the handiwork of lazy hired help rather than an owner

Would like to hear how you do on Balsam. Used to be my go to spot when I lived in Barrie. Have been back once once or twice in the last few years but didn't do as well as I used to. Wondering if the pike are having an effect or maybe I was just there on "one of those days"

Wind has cancelled many a trip to St Clair for me...I swear somehow it knows I have a trip booked. Very finicky out there...wind in days leading up brings in weeds or chocolate milk water, wind on day of trip makes it unsafe in my 16 footer. Drives me nuts when I am so excited to go. Luckily, Kawarthas are the back up plan and that is always fun too. Pretty much no wind could keep me off some kawartha lake

Don't be so hasty...I bet there is all kinds of ice at those ponds I told you about...pike to be had there.

My wife has so many shoes and new outfits showing up on a regular basis she says nothing about my fishing gear. Having said that, I DO have it well hidden in the basement

Our cat ripped the head off a bunny before. Unfortunately she still had said bunny in her mouth when I opened the door to let her back in at 2 am. And unfortunately it was 2 am so I was groggy and didn't even see the bunny in Kitty's mouth. Man did I hear about that one the next morning when the decapitated bloody beast was discovered.

Are we trying to run before we crawl? C/AV death today
Rizzo replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
I stand by my answer. You claim these vehicles will bring traffic fatalities down to zero...what about blown tires? black ice? hydroplaning? Could the technology become very good? Sure. Will we get to a day of no traffic fatalities? Never gonna happen -

I bought a 8hp nissan last year. It was lots of fun always checking on kijiji etc. One thing I did find is that used outboards aren't cheap! I was shocked how much guys thought they could get for a 1982 merc. Another thing I noticed...anything that IS a good deal will be snapped up pretty quick, then some of those will be back on the site a couple days later for $200 more. I actually called about one of them that I had seen and the guy acknowledged that's what he does...buys any good deal then turns around and flips it. That guy happened to be out of Beamsville, but I am sure there are others out there doing the same thing. Good luck and happy shopping!

We have decided to rent our cottage out to help cover some of the costs. The cottage is on Habermehl Lake about 5 minutes north of Hanover. The lake is approx 100 acres...so not huge. Gas boats permitted but no jet skis. This is a great family spot, not a great "fishing vacation spot". The fishing is actually great in the lake (pike, largemouth, rock bass etc) BUT because the lake is only 100 acres you would probably tire of it after a couple of days. But if you are good fishing a couple hours in the morning, then a couple hours in the evening this is a great spot. Better yet...if you get a thrill watching your kids tangle with a bass then this is definitely a good place for you. Kids can catch largies and king kong sunfish right off the dock while parents enjoy brown pops on the shore. Rate is $1100 during peak season for a full week. 3 bedrooms, 1500 sq feet, maximum 7 people. Lots more info and pics available just shoot me a pm if interested.

Ridiculous. What is wrong with just driving your own car? -
Just saw Wonder...my wife cried like a baby...I guess that makes it a good movie

ya this is common in any retail (and other environments as well). Highly annoying for sure but what you gonna do? You never know when that annoying tire-kicker will finally make a decision (if they ever do). Either way, its a fact of life. Some people are what I call "time burglers".

wow you can see how big it really is in that scene when its on the log looking the other way
-
wow that looks like a gorgeous day! Gonna have to try and get me one of those whitefish some day

Never tried! Only ice fish once or twice a year and that's almost always for pike (the other times it might be for perch)
