  1. no doubt fishing partners that show up late and fishing partners that make you fear for your life every time they cast
  2. a little bit from column A...a little bit from column B I'd say
  3. very true. Also, since we've had a baby, there is no time to fish
  4. CARIB
  5. oh ya, and replace "Smelly and Corky" with Pamela Anderson/Jessica Simpson in Hipwaders
  6. yup, bring back scuttlebum lodge any day
  7. Nice report and photos. You said you got an injury from a pike. I have a bit of advice to prevent future injury - take hooks out of fishes mouth before posing for photo! A thrashing pike with hooks embedded in your hand (or leg if you drop the slimy bugger) is no laughing matter. As well, if it takes you a while to get the hooks out, then you may decide not to pose for photo so that the fish can swim away healthy. If hooks pop right out, take time to pose (or if you plan on keeping the fish anyways)
  8. hot dogs...fish love em and so do I

    !

congrats on that elusive 50! Sounds like a day of a lifetime
  10. nice looking fish! I'd say a little over 3 pounds and 18.5 inches in length
  11. Yup, typically for casting, but the biggest musky I ever caught came on an almost identical bucktail while trolling. Pike and bass love em too. If you're going for the big game though, make sure you are prepared with bolt cutters, large net, good quality leaders/terminal tackle, heavy pound test line...it never ends. My suggestion is don't get into musky fishing, get rid of that lure right now (send it to me and I will save you a lot of money )
  12. Great report and photos. Gotta love that 5 of diamonds. My 2 biggest walleye came on 5 of diamonds, both times while pike fishing
  13. LOL I knew I could count on you Joey
  14. one heck of a bass, congrats on the new p/b. Best part is, if you keep fishing Simcoe you'll break that record.
  15. I wouldn't tow a bag of marshmallows with a ford Focus just kidding. I've been towing a 14' Lowe with platform, livewell, console, 25 hp etc with a 4 cylinder celica without a problem for years...notice I said towing isn't a problem, launching can occasionally be an experience though
  16. don't recall ever seeing as much poor quality weed as this year ...funny how things taken out of context can be given a totally different meaning nice fish though, good to see that they can heal nicely too after some pretty ugly ulcerations
  17. those are some serious bass
  18. We got to get out together. every time I go out musky fishing I'm catching those dang pesky 'eyes! i've landed more walleye than musky so far this year. Smallest lure i've caught them on is super shadrap
  19. gotta love those downtown bass and pike!
  20. thats a neat video. The number of those carp flying through the air in some scenes is pretty scary. I'd say shotgun would do a better job, although the whole bow and arrow thing is a better challenge
  21. I used to fish Jordan Harbour, which is pretty good for largemouth. There used to be a marina there but now its gone. i guess you could launch at that marina on L Ontario and then boat under the bridge. Also, I fish the upper niagara in my own 14 footer and on most days thats enough boat. there are several launches along the niagara parkway
  22. mmmmmm...bacon wrapped pike. Very nice of Kevin to get that pike to you
  23. Sounds like a total success to me! Very nice report
  24. teenage head, no means no, spirit of the west had that timeless drinking song (Home for a rest)so have to give them some credit, in my opinion, maybe the best song ever by a canadian artist
  25. great looking boat and great results! Those are some serious fish
