  1. I've had an Eskimo for around 8 years now. Some minor issues but nothing significant. One day in extreme cold (-30) it would not start, but people with jiffies around me had no problem. If I were to do it all over I'd probably get a jiffy.
  2. ....ouch, sorry BB gotta nominate that one for worst pun ever
  3. that happened to me a bunch of years ago (minus someone coming by to save the day with an auger!). I ended up drilling with one blade (a very dull blade I might add)
  4. I don't even eat the fish I catch so I definitely will not be buying any at the store. I just wish I could catch some shrimp because I do enjoy those tasty little buggers!
  5. I'm with Lew. I bought a couple of those BPS Maina musky reels a couple of years back and I don't use either one anymore.
  6. ...tell them to come over and drill some holes for you then!
  7. reel repair...interesting. When the line guide on my 6500 busticated I took it as a reason to go buy a new reel of a different make!
  8. never going to make the playoffs....just please don't give up another high pick. Finishing just out of the playoffs is about the best thing that could happen
  9. one guy I know beat him, one guy I know lost...sounds like there will be no rubber match
  10. American Psycho by Treble Charger, then switched to Here in your Bedroom by Goldfinger (guess I'm a slow reader/typer...took 2 songs to get through this post)
  11. ..ditto. I have the same set-up and love it. At a slightly lesser price I have an Abu "Record" on a compre rod which has also been good to me. Even less than that get an ABU 6500...pretty sure every musky fisherman has had a 6500 at some point! Have had some of those pete maina reels from bps but they did not hold up for me, couldn't take the wear and tear.
  12. sweet...if i take the job I wonder if my wife/kids will find me there! Sounds like a great job for a young single guy (ie someone who doesn't need $$)
  13. ...yes you did...and we hope to get back there again! Thanks for the tip.
  14. nah...saving my $$$ for the musky odyssey. Less than 2 weeks away! Man 2 years go by fast, seems like I was just there.
  15. Those look great! See you at the Odyssey. Sounds like you better have a LOT of inventory with you!
  16. that was great!
  17. agree with Bill...typical day in Barrie, wake up to 6-8 inches in the driveway but the roads are great (other than my own which must be last one the route)
  18. where we used to live I had an older lady next door...gave me more time to play with my snowblower! Was a win win situation.
  19. ditto...except I work in a funeral home. Never had a day I couldn't make it in...but sure have seen some poorly attended funerals due to weather!
  20. ...guess that goes to show I haven't updated my avatar since 2004...hard to believe its been that long
  21. after this post I don't think you ever will! 15 kms walking in these conditions you are a madman! Thank goodness your perserverance paid off. Congrats on a "successful" outing. The other day we went maybe 2 kms round trip walking and I thought that was a lot. You have raised the bar a LONG way!
  22. ..been there, managed to catch a crayfish if you can believe it
  23. holy smokes, perch 80 feet down!
  24. that's a good one. Did that last summer with 2 of mine and they loved it. Winds were brutal at night, all the noise kept dad awake, ended up carrying them in around midnight and got a good sleep!
  25. buy cardboard box...let them play in it...use all the money you saved to go fishing! Can't think of a particular destination, but day trips like Centre Island, Santa's Village, water parks ect have always been big hits with my little guys
