  1. ..don't believe him, I just tried rolling one and it tore me a new belly-button
  2. very good public launch on the far end of west lake near the lcbo (at least 15 years ago when I used to fish there)in Wellington(??). You'll pass it on the way to Sandbanks. I'm sure there are places much closer to the park to launch into west lake as there are several private campgrounds in the area. 15 years ago lots of places to launch for east lake too. Several along the outlet river, including 2 that were in the provincial park. As I recall, the ones in the park weren't great but that's a long time ago
  3. east lake for numbers. when you get bored of that, try west lake where the numbers are still very good but fish tend to be a bit bigger
  4. I'm with bigbuck - split my fishing between a curado and a abu record
  5. any musky in the connecting lakes?
  6. lucky dogs...I'm missing out this year
  7. if doing it on-line I think you need a qualified "supervisor"...can be your friend...but it takes a bit of time to sign that person up too
  8. five of diamonds...leave everything else at home
  9. yup. we were there at some horrible hours last week and had the opp visit us. Nice guy, let us stick around. Got a couple of muskies but no size (35 inches and 37 inches).
  10. "camp shower" is an oxymoron
  11. seen it on dalrymple and simcoe. neither fish seemed stressed and when I got close enough to take a good look both took off (of course both times I had already tossed a lure in its direction without a response!)
  12. thanks Cliff, good point. I have run the motor myself with the muffs on and its still far too high!
  13. haha that's what I was hoping to hear. My buddy's job is to tell me when I have 5 and a half feet of oil in the 6 foot tube...time to stop sucking! I imagine if I sit on the floor I could practically drain the thing once gravity takes over.
  14. Going to get the boat in the water Wednesday and noticed that the engine oil level is far too high. I guess the marina that serviced it in the fall put too much in. I understand this is not good. Now I am NOT a handy guy. I have access to some long thin tubing but no pump etc and not sure I want to start messing with drain valves etc. Can I put this long tube down into the oil via the dipstick pipe, and basically siphon some of the oil out? (no I will not be needing a breathmint afterwards...I have 6 feet of this tubing). The level is not even close to where it should be, not sure what this guy was thinking. When I checked it yesterday (in preparation for my trip) its a good inch and a half too far up the dipstick.
  15. huge pike, great photos!
  16. right on! some nice looking pike there
  17. I thought I had read somewhere that pike don't get markings on their tail...I'd google it if it weren't for this dang dial up.
  18. I was speechless too...at 8:15 I remembered the game was on, turned it on mid way through the second to see the score 4-1...couldn't believe it
  19. that eating crow photo is classic. I actually had just said to my wife "I have to go eat some crow" on OFC because on a previous thread i had predicted Pens in 5. well done Montreal.
  20. just got my boat out of storage. Hope to get out once in May to warm it up, 3 times in June, and hopefully more each month after that but its not looking too good. Same issues...work, wife and 4 young'uns keeping me close to shore
  21. bingo. i think last summer the best weather we had was in April and then the last few weeks in August. here's hoping we don't have a repeat of that.
  22. Man you better hope she doesn't read this! From this perspective cool is not being kept. Hopefully all works out for all 3 of you!
  23. sounds like a good place for a part-time job Lew!
  24. send me 4 musky lures and a spool of powerpro and you're in...or go to the 2010 OFC tournament sign-up area
