wow that splake is amazing !!! we used to fish a few small lakes near bancroft for them and i seen a few with very nice colors but nothing like that one its amazing !!!

The rule if thumb we always used is as soon as the pier stated to get the slushy ice chunks floating all around it was over !!! Case then the shiners will move out to deeper water ..... You have a few weeks left Oshawa pier is a better bet and they are there,when the ice started we would then concentrate on the warm water flow at the Pickering nuke when you were allowed to fish there we have had 10 trout days there !!!!! Like I said ahhhhh memories !!!! I do have some pics to back when you had to develop your pictures ..... I also remember casting Erie dearies into the current flow with big shiners on them from tight lines in Pickering !! We spent tons of hours chasing them browns long before most people even knew they were there !!! Cgeers

Why not run them parallel ?? I have a battery selector switch in effect it just makes 1 big 12 v battery I can direct the charge from my engine to either battery or both or just my trolling motor battery it works and when I'm running down the lake it sends a pretty good charge !!!! Not sure how it works as a freind hooked it up that way but it does I'm not sure if I'm explaining it correctly ??

Yes off quick short road a few miles south of the bridge across the narrows it's not the best and water is very low if you don't have a big boat and ya got a 4x4 I used to launch there a lot years ago !!!

Ya parts of sturgeon lake had ice Emily creek was froze but right now it's pouring rain hard in bobcaygeon !!!! Grrrrrr so back to square one ... But sturgeon lake was 35 degrees 2 days ago so it's ready to freeze but it's raining hard so much for that

Well supposedly there was different formulas for winter gas and for summer gas ??? Was that pre-corn gas I can't remember ??? Even my Yamaha 50hp tiller in the manual says minimum 87 octane but running the medium or plus gas is recommended ??and it's a new motor built to the corn gas specs so if we run the non corn gas in 91 octane I guess other than storage does that mean I should not use seafoam every tank or only if its gonna sit for a few weeks? The govt just has to keep screwing things up grrrrrrr

We used to catch brown trout in Oshawa harbor right up till Xmas time chucking silver and blue 1/2oz Cleo's in the hammered finish !!! And for several years now they have stocked browns at the harbor so it's probly even better there uses to be an old boys club down there for most if the winter and they always caught them they also fished the rocks at bommanville and even got the odd bow too !!!! Ahhhh the memories please be careful as the waves will freeze the spray and the piers and rocks can be deadly. !!! Seen a few people go for a swim !!!! Wear a floater suit for sure !!!!! Nice sled Simon trouble is you will have so much fun riding that big comfy couch you will just want to ride it instead of ice fishing !!!! Haha it happened to me a few years ago I don't even ice fish anymore I just go trail riding on my sleds !!!!!! Make sure you do get a good quality tow strap in case you are stuck so you can get towed out ....... The 2 up sleds are becoming more popular all the time seeing on how they have heated seats and hand rests for the passenger they are awesome like riding a lazy boy recliner across the snow !!!!! Cheers man .....get out and ride and get to know the sled its a whole different animal than what you were used too !!!! You can also get all the travel bags and accessories for it too you can pack that thing up with a huge load !!! Cheers

That's the truck I was going to get and had my mind made up but with all the discounts plus my dads GM discount I saved an additional 5 grand and ford was going to match it but changed their mind so I went with a silverado z714x4 but I really did love to ford what engine did you get ??

Thanks Wayne I will try that and see what happens !!! I just got my 2 sleds out if storage and back when I put them away. Last spring I filled them up with premium added the proper amount of stabil and added a cup of seafoam to each sled !!!! So I'm hoping things are ok !!! They go to the dealer to get serviced . Last year I actually siphoned out the gas cause I didn't want it to gum up my engines like I said I have thrown out more gas between my boats and sleds its never ending paranoid battle with garbage corn gas !!! So far no issues but that's maybe cause I just don't trust corn gas and always run fresh gas ... Thanks

It's true corn gas is just garbage !!! But like I asked a few posts ago does anyone know where or how to get a list of companies that don't have corn in their gas ??? What about ultramar gas ?? They sure have a lot of stations and I pass several on my way to my new work location does their premium hae corn as well ???? Thanks

I have a 2012 Chevy silverado with satabilitrak and traction control as well !! Push the button and get it on your display push it again to make the traction go to the off position then hold the button in for about 4 seconds !!!! Then it's deactivated and you should see the icon on your speedometer now it's only off for that engine cycle so when you turn the van off and restart it you will have to go through the same thing !!!!! I had to figure it out as well but I can now spin my tires no problem !!!!! So give that a try and let me know or pm me !!!!! Cheers
