Well around us the bobcaygeon area it's freezing rain again !!!! I wish it was snow ..?? Who else is getting it sposed to turn to rain today but snow in Haliburton ....

Lets face the facts it's no different than all the other walleye reg changes it's 20 yrs too late just like the kawarthas we all told the MNR back in the early 90s that the walleye pop was way down and it takes forever to do studies and biologist reports when the regular fisherman that fishes it all the time knows long before what's really happening !!!! It's too little to too late and the same thing is going on in the bay of quinte it crashed hard in the 90s and is slowly slowly Comming back but will never be the same !!! It's also the changing ecosystem as well and warmer water and climate change its all a mess and not ever gonna get better !!!!!! Ever...... Private stocking and fishing clubs have to take matters into there own hands !!! Just like all the salmon rearing going on in all the harbors in Lake Ontario it's all about fishing clubs not the MNR !!!! They have cut all funding for fishing projects to the core !!!! So it really is all about us looking after the entire mess

It's not that I care what mileage my new truck gets !!!! It was about what the makers are saying they get ?? And it seems they are way off but I don't care about my gas mileage cause that's not why I bought a new truck at least I know I can get to rough boat launches and tow my sleds to just about anywhere and can tow several thousand pounds without any problems and drive through deep snow if I wanted gas mileage I would be driving a small car that's not much good for anything other than commuting ....I think the new trucks look awesome and there is some nice changes as well !!!!

Well the meteor shower is on and the sky in dunsford is crystal clear you can see the shooting stars whizing by seen several I less than a minute !!!! Cool....oh ya it's Lew o'clock !!!!!!

Don't know but it's always a lot cheaper in Peterbourough been that way for a few years !!! I got gas in Lindsay yesterday for 113. Not too bad !!!!

Thanks rickOnt I wasn't sure but that's what I have been averaging for a month the dealer said it will get better once its broken in !! But it's still way better than my ford ranger V6. But yes those new style 2014 trucks look awesome !!!! So I'm wondering if that's what the truck with the 4.7 gets maybe its the one that gets 30mpg ??? Maybe if I drove at 30kph all the time it would get 30 hahaha I don't know how they get their miles per gallon rating ?? Probly on an oval track just going around real slow not real world driving like stop lights and hills or traffic or driving into a 40mph headwind haha

Eric those were the days I miss fishing that place did it way back from about 1983 right up till when the Gagnons sports murders in Oshawa in 94 I was shore fishing the outflow the day they found ken Thomas body down there off the walking trail !!!! It was closed just shortly after that permanently !!! I thing you and I met out there in our boats one day !!!! We had days like you a lot 10 browns a day and silver bass some days we would catch 100 of them !!!! Walleyes were always a hot bite in febuary browns in November and December ya back before digital cameras and phones I hae old pics too it was nice to fish open water all winter and catch lots of fish every time !!!!! Ahhhh the memories !!! Thanks for sharing eric

Well in my 2012 Chevy silverado I am averaging 13.5 liters of fuel for 100km so what is that converted to mpg ????

they are lifting them over the dams on the st lawrence river,and yes they are native species,but the barriers have decimated thier numbers,and they are now protected i believe,you cannot poses them at all,they are now listed as endagered

the ice wont be long my haliburton contact says some guys will be out fishing this weekend on the smaller lakes,he works for the county so they hit all the backroads and do all the checking on the back lakes!!!!

I just cannot imagining living life without a boat of some kind. ??? I have always owned boats !!! Even if all I had was a 14ft with a 9.9 it would not matter as long as I had one !!!! At least then you are free to fish where when and how you want to !!!
