Great way to start the season man !!! Nice little rocket !!!!! Gets the heart pumping when you get them chasing your lure and then you entice them to bite !!!! Woo hoo .... It's awesome to see a big king salmon rip up from 70 feet down right up to 35 feet to smash a spoon or a fly when you see that happen on your graph and then to see your rod almost get ripped out of the rigger holder !!!!! Ya....

Be very careful on 12 mile and on horseshoe lake they are dicey on a good year but guys are out and doing well on the smaller lakes most have 4-8 inches even up in the Dorset area I get first hand knowledge about this almost on a daily basis if I want to !!! The bro-inlaw is there everyday and all the lakes around that whole area !!! There was still lots of slush on the big lakes and not recomended yet but like I said use discretion and you will be ok on the smaller ones and they are getting some nice fish too !!!!

heard this morning on the radio one of the wolves have been shot !!! they are trying to live trap the others right now and the opp have brought in profesional trappers to do the job...

But wolves still belong in the wild and their strains are unique and are dwindling in numbers the strain in Haliburton are in big trouble cause if breeding with coyotes and loss of habitat the strain is its own breed most people even from hundreds of years ago call the wolf the "devil" it's a bad stereotype !!!! It's us that's their worst enemy .... They are curious but do not hunt humans that's for sure .... They are more afraid of us than we are of them.. We infringe on them not the other way around we all know they need huge territories and they are getting pushed out and made to go where they usually would not I seen a big special on Ontario wolves just over a week ago it was great !! I even made a post here about it....

many years ago when i was about 13yrs old,i hopped a fence while sucker fishing in emily creek,and walked about a mile around the swamp and didnt realize i was in the middle of a farmers field with a 1,000lb prized bull charging at me full blast....i ran for my life i can still feel the ground shaking as he was running me down,anyways im here an alive but barely !!!! i just made it to the edge of the fence and dove up and over and through the barbed wire !!! yes and about 7 stiches later !!!!! later upon my grandpa knowing of this he said that bull did lots of damage to even the barn,and also charged and dented the farmers truck !!!! so imagine what he would have done to me>>>>>>>

In my gopro I use it with the soundproof door and have it mounted on my helmet ad you can hear the sound of my snowmobile noooo problem Simon for best setting I use the 960p by 30 and mine is HD as well !!! If you put the door with the holes in it on make sure you don't get snow dust in it as it will fog it up and get it wet check my vids at vectordevil on YouTube I have lots of my gopro footage there I can also mount mine on the front of my sled too its amazing !!! Guys have been fishing the medium & smaller lakes for 2 weeks now up there !!! All around the Dorset area and to the east as well !!! Go for it 6" is more than enough ice to get out on.... Good luck

I have had them for 20yrs and there is a spring adjustment for them and if you angle it right they will jig a lure no problem I also have one with a larger modified stronger spring tey are very versatile I like using a smaller size Williams wabler and have use smaller thin flutter spoons with a dropper line they work awesome !!!!! And have caught everything from lakers to big quinte eyes to pike ya the spool sucks but when you have a fish I hand bomb the line up anyways !!!! It's limitless what you can do with them use your imagination.... Bend the fins and let the wind help they work great!!!!! I have even used 3/8 oz Swedish pimples on them in BOQ ..... Good luck

Yes that's true one of my lakes I fish in Haliburton for bass says there is no pike and well we catch several every year.... So it's def not 100% that's for sure ... I thinks it's just a general info that's all for more info its always best to call local boat shops or the local guys usually know best

Wow !!! That's a good old fashioned winter snowstorm !!!! I wish we had that here !!!! We only got 6 inches I guess here in bobcaygeon !!! But the sled trails are starting to open up Roy I would be tearing up and around with my sled in all that powder !!!! Your snowblower is gonna need another tank of gas !!!! Don't hurt yourself ....

Fisherman sad it first I was gonna say seafoam as well I use it on everything did you leave old gas in it from last year and didn't use any stabil ?? Probly turned to varnish ..... Or water maybe try a can of carb cleaner ??
