I'm in dunsford on sturgeon lake and we got the snow first then ice pellets then the good stuff came !!!! Everything is froze here with the freezing rain gonna e fun going down my step hill to make a hairpin at the stop sigh to get out to the highway. ..... Fun wow ....

Take the small boat mike your van will not pull the 30ft boat at least not safely or it will be over weight what kind of 30 ft boat is it like a cabin boat or flat open boat ??? Weight matters don't forget your front wheel drive transmission gets expensive real quick??? We need more info

The problem is we are all spread all over and depending on where the g2g is sometimes its hard for people to come from long distances. !!! Almost need a north,east,west,south g2g contrary to popular belief Toronto is not the center if the universe. !!! Lol....

My gf brother lives in north Haliburton around the Dorset area and lots if the smaller lakes are froze but only a inch or 2 on them but guys are usually fishing the smaller all year open lakes by Xmas every year !!!! As long as we don't get another real warm spell !!! Sturgeon lake froze over yesterday but only a skim .....

It's proof there still is some decent people left in the world !!!! It's called karma !!! And fits my saying perfectly "what comes around goes around "

1/8 and 1/4 but will use 3/8 for the current and in spring 5/8 for the mighty Ottawa river !! and black or white heads for lake trout and orange or chart for eyes and crappies !!!!

There's always snow !!! Sometimes you just have to trailer to it !! I still managed 2,700km last year on my sled and I rode half the winter near bobcaygeon and lots in Bancroft and of course petawawa deep river area !!! And seeing how a good winter in central Ontario is aprox 13 weeks long you will only get out of it what you put into it !!!! Bring on the snow !!!!!!

Thanks David like I said to the poster that its been awhile since I launched there but it used to be pretty good and we also accessed it for walking out ice fishing to the shoal and the hydro cut !!!! Can you still get a boat in at huffs?? Another great spot !!! Ahhhh the good old days .....
