Well like Shane said use the wind and fish the windward side for walleyes they love that !!!! Some days the windier the better ..... The kawarthas never blow up to the point where it's not fish able but if you don't feel safe then don't go depending on how small your boat is ....

Did the Kawartha lakes opener last weekend and did great for eyes !!! Also did the Haliburton opener for eyes too this weekend and did well too lots of big walleyes over the slot last weekend and all had to go back it's been a workout trying to get a few in the slot for a meal !!!! I am looking forward to a few days holidays I have Comming up in a week or so and can get out during the week and should be even better fishing as it won't be a weekend on the kawarthas and most if the gong show will have gone home .....

I have several plastic milk crates and they hold the Plano boxes perfect about 5-6 and more depending how you stack them on their sides or lay them flat !!! And you can then stack the crates on top of each other and the crates have handles too !!! And they fit in the boat nice as well

And don't forget to throw a few rods on the boat for test run !!!!! An hour testing the boat and 2 hours fishing !!!

oh ya i have invented new swear words over trailer lighting issues...its relentless and never ending ...like shane saids its hard to keep a ground on a trailer....

I have oil bath bearings and a sight glass in which to see the level !!!! Tens of thousands of km travelled since 2006 and they are awesome no failures and change the oil every year or so they are the best thing ever for trailers

Yes it can be nerve wracking for sure !!! Been there done that many times !!!! All the years of charter boat fishing and many times long before GPS and chart plotters only had just a compass and watch the depth finder as long as we were getting shallower we were getting closer to shore !!! Glad you made it in safe we were out in the blue zone on e time about 10miles out and a super cold upwelling of cold water came to the surface we could see it rolling in about a half mile away and within 15 mins were were in a fog bank so thick we could not see past the front of the boat .... And the weird thing is the fog was maybe 100 feet high if that as we could see the sun above us threw the fog but could not see anything else !!!! It took us several hours to get in and wa worried about other boats and ships and we were almost in the shipping lane !!!!! We did see a sailboat and could hear people talking in the distance as well !!!! Should use your horn every minute or so then listen !!!! But yes it's scary !!!!!

That's brutal !!!! And just about an hour ago I had a coyote run across the hwy in front of me and it was the biggest one I have ever seen !!!!! I had to slam my brakes on to avoid it !!!!! Just a few km outside of bobcaygeon. !!!!

When I was 6 years old caught a 33 inch Muskie trolling a red worm harness and a dew worm !!! My mother helped me reel it in !!!!! I I remeber it well I thought I was snagged and then it went crazy I only had about 20 feet of line out ...... Lol. So yes my addiction started 42yrs ago this July

Yes water is cold for sure I could not find water yesterday over 45 degrees !!!! Even the back bays on my Kawartha lake were very cold really slooooooow day sposed to be warmer for the rest of the week so it will help for sure & get the pannies moving I hope !!!! Fish-on

Take a pic then upload to photobucket and click the image and copy then paste to ofc takes about 30 seconds !! Lol you have to upload to photobucket from your camera roll on your phone it's the way I have been doing it for years in my phone I hardly ever do it from my puter it's always from my phone once you do it a few times it's very easy
