I was going to post a pic of the storm water pond but I can't it will give the spot away because of the background shot !!!! Lol ....and those 3/4 - 1.5lb largemouth will be gone .... I was suprised that they were there too .... Many years ago I my freind had permission to fish a golf course and there is a nice creek running through it and we fished it lots and would catch some nice little browns and the creek is so small you would not think that anything would be even there !! The pond was maybe a few hundred feet long and the same wide I guess .... It was maybe 10ft deep we used to swim there too I'm not sure if any courses would let you fish them anymore probly due to the liability & garbage and destruction people do

Yes it's true there is a few storm water management ponds in the east GTA that do have fish in them !!!! It's a fact ...... And lots of farmers field ponds have fish in them too !!!!!

Yup I have both offshore & churches and prefer the offshores I have several clips I run as well a soft medium & hard clip depending on what baits I'm pulling for lakers I would let the board come off I also have sliders and the board will slide down the line but for different applications I will switch it up many options Chris ?? For running xraps and stick baits for spring lakers I would let the board come off you won't loose as many as small & medium lakers go crazy and thrash about it's better that way .... A few years ago I fished like 13 new lakes in one summer !!! I have since re-visited at least half if them and pulled big smallies & largies from them!!! So in gonna fish a few more and do a bass tourney on a new lake as well this summer so my goal is to do well and learn another few lakes up north and get both 5-6lb smallies & buckets. !!! And cash a cheque I hope )

The big truck will knowing how far in to back your trailer and where the sweet spot for the boat is !!! And of course the same for putting her back on the trailer as well !!! Like Steve said take your time and double & triple check everything and then check it again !!! Check tire inflation & your hitch & rollers make sure after you launch they are all working ect. Ect . Awesome !!! Yes you have it bad too !!!! I have been fishing Lake Ontario for over 30yrs !!!! It is the drug for sure !!!!! I was first mate and co-captain on a charter boat for years !!!!!! Yes I got mine at princess auto and has the bracket that bolts to the side of the trailer and angles up so that it doesn't hit the ground on my boat trailer and it's adjustable !!!! There is several versions as well and it will hold several sizes of tires .....

By way up you mean summer water levels ??? Lol ....

Mike hit the Ottawa river man !!! Been going there well over 20yrs !!! It's only a short drive and never know a fish of a lifetime could be yours !!! My choice would be clear ..... But yes lots of options in the area like the guys stated above but being that close to the mighty Ottawa go for it !!!!! Fish-on )

Yes I see there is rain in the forecast for the next 3-4 days !!! I hope it does rain we need it !!! Plus we have had a mandatory fire ban in place for a few weeks now and will continue for the rest of the month here in the kawarthas

Haha !!! Way back when !!! In the 80's my stepfather had a huge heavy fiberglass walk through 18ft with a 90hp Johnson and used to troll with 2 give gallon white buckets out each side of the back of the boat and would drill holes into them to get our speed we wanted !!!!!! Did that stuff long before drift bags were ever on the shelf !!!!! It's was not nice to steer but we would manage and it did work !!!! ..... Ahhhh memories

Yes 2 minn kotta drift bags myself one out front & one out back !!! Keeps the drift steady and precise !!!! Just make sure they are the same size or boat will drift either more on the front or back !!!! And I have a tiller so it's east to use as a rudder as well same with my bow mount trolling motor can be used to keep it straight !!!!! Great fro dropshotting & dragging tubes or swim baits over shoals & flats !!!!!! Make sure they are dry before you put them away !!!! And a cleaning tip is vinegar !!!!! Just pray some on light scrub and rinse !!! Works great !!!!!!

It's not even at the safe navigation levels yet on the graphs at parks canada !!!!!! I'm really suprised those guys can find their own way to work in the morning !!!! It's how clueless they are !!!!! It's been tried before and the insurance costs alone for the park are huge !!!! And usually no water access for the fire dept !!! To just name a few !!!! Water freeze ups sewage freeze ups the infrasctucture is not set up to work that aY !!!! Most municipal by laws have all that in place so that they can't ...... I don't even know if there is any left that do it ?? Please advise if there is !!!! Cheers

Half the spawning beds the walleyes use in the spring are still either dry or barley covered with water !!!! It's only just now at low summer levels very sad !!!! We should all be really pissed off because it never gets any better ..... Parks Canada & Trent Severn together are clueless !!!! I'm fed up with them ...... And the MNR is not really doing much about it !!!! Concerning minimum water flows during the walleye spawn .... As if the walleyes don't have enough problems already ....... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Make the changes the same as the other Kawartha lakes no ice fishing for walleyes period!!! ..... And drop the limit it's the same as the rest if the kawarthas recruitment is down invasives are up !!!! And the water levels are a huge problem as well as habitat loss too !!!! A day late & a dollar short as usual

I sounded the alarm back in febuary the levels just kept dropping & dropping for no reason !!! I have had several discussions and emails with parks canada !!! And they said every excuse known to mankind as to why there is no water !!!! Same crap every year !!!!

I live here on sturgeon lake and I do see the CO's out but it seems not when they are really really needed like when the walleye spawn & crappie run is on !!!! They have such huge areas and tons of paperwork they just need more of them !!! It's the same old story !!! My nieghbor was checked 2 times this winter in his hut on sturgeon lake so they are around I see their trucks on the highways but like I said so much area not enough manpower ... Sad really cause they do bust guys all the time so it shows they are needed and it's not just fishing they look after too it's a lot of things

The MNR is all down in the GTA busting all the snaggers and poachers in the creeks right now !!! The annual creek gong show is in full effect now !! As soon as the ice is off up here in the kawarthas they will be busting the over limit crappie guys !!! It's the same every year sad but true !!!!! And will continue as there are just not enough officers In a month from now just go to any dam in the kawarthas and you will see what I mean !!!! Every year same thing !!!!
