Now thats what i call a great fishin vacation !!!! you guys caught some very nice pike & walleye, it looks very strange,when you are fishing an area where a fire went through,but the scenery up there is very nice,too about the prop & the boat !!! the only thing missing was the pics of the shore lunch..lol..lol cheers

Man i can just imagine how rough the big lakes & places like the bay of quinte would be the day or two,and including today !!!! it would be a very rough rideto say the least,think of all the guys who booked holidays and drove tons of miles to be there this week. im glad im only an 1 1/2 away,i can do day trips if i have to,its supposed to get better in a few days,and things will be fishable again,as lots of fishermen ,myself included want a long fall before winter shows up,so we can get several more trips down to the bay before the boats go away for the big winter sleep !!!..lol..lol. hey G are you going to quinte this fall????

Well its good that he is your friend,we have known our vet for quite a while,but we had to take our cat to the emergency animal hospital as it was late on a saturday night !!!and it still costs over 400 bucks,for all the needles,anesthsia,x-ray,bandages,you name it they charge for it,but in the end it was all worth it !!! im glad joeys cat was ok too, cheers

Well i feel for you as i have also been to the vet !!! our family cat also found a fishing lure on one of my rods,and i had to hold the cat,without gloves on and pull the lure,out as it was way in past the barb !!! have you ever tried to hold a cat while you are trying to remove a hook,i needed stitches as well,anyway off to the vet we went ,$400.00 later,he was fine,it went in to the bone,as the cat kept trying to pull away from the fishing rod it made it go deeper !!! that was about 6yrs ago,and he was fine,but talk about panic,so i learned my lesson as well, as i checked all 45 fishing rods i missed one that had a lure on it....so like you said very important to check your rods if you have pets !!! and even our vet said its very common and they see it several times every year,but mostly its dogs that they see,and its from taking the dog ice-fishing they see the most off,weird eh????

Well alot of the fishing lodges & camps up north have already said that their american guests are not comming like they used to,from both reasons: high gas prices & our high dollar,but now with our dollar being so low they might start comming back !!! and i for one have been a little more selective about where im fishing specially if im driving more than a few hours ...for years i would just jump in my vehicle and just drive somewhere to go fishing and not even think about it,many,many trips were 2,3,4 hrs long with no consideration about gas prices !!!now im a little more picky,and i think less people will dive to go fishing and fish a little closer to home,except for us die-hards,i will still do my 12 or so trips a year were i drive up to 4 hrs to go fishing !!!!

Well congrats steve to your brother it takes guts to get into the cage with a much more experienc3ed fighter,and to still put up a great fight !!! it will all work out to his advantage a few years from now,when he will be the much more experienced fighter,nice step,by step commentating of the match steve...thanks for sharing...cheers

Well i think you should install a lake camera down at your shoreline so we can keep an eye on things,that way leechman can tell you when you can go fishing,after he does all the weather checks first !!!!. .lol..lol..lol.cheers bud,looks like you have a very nice place up there in the great white north !!!

About 45mins ago we just had thunder & lightning in oshawa !!!! they said to take cover that hail was occuring in the area,but we didnt get any here yet,at least not in south oshawa??? ....this should screw up the fishin for the next couple of days

Well hit bass-pro,or better known as my candy store..lol..lol. . this morning for some new walleye weapons for the bay of quinte,the rapala deep #11 taildancers are new colors for 08-09 called barbie,pink lemonade,old red-eye. for the reef runners 800 series deep-divers. they are called lights-out,fruit loops,red-hot tiger !!!and of course i got a few new football finnese jigs 1/4oz,3/16oz so i can use with mark kuliks strike-zone baits !!!! so look out walleyes im comming to get you !!!
