  1. NO, but there should be at rush hours I've seen some close calls at both locations.
  2. #4 U turn Some one at YRP should be sitting at Islington and Langstaff or Pine Valley and Langstaff and watch the jokers who can't wait to make a left turn and go down 50 feet past the light and come right back up to make a right turn!
  3. bought all of my stuff there in 2004, still going strong except for the dishwasher, it got used. . . .
  4. yes food prices have gone up, no question. I can see in Yellowknife prices being higher due to transportation. . . .Fish is a lot better, but down here we get shaft for fish. Here I can can a difference of a $1 a lb just by going from Fortinos to NoFrills and they are owned by the same company! Something is wrong here, just like gas prices, differ by a wide margin from a one area to another. We do buy ribs as another member suggested when they are at around $2 a lb. I've had a good butcher for 46 years and he keeps telling me buy ribeye steaks in the winter! wonder why? We are at the mercy of the "providers" and they can set prices as they wish as long as it meets their $ needs.
  5. I sold my 1995 Jeep Larado. I stated the km any problems (not safety related) and that it was stored for two years in my garage. I got and email from guy from Fergus wanting it for parts as he had the same model. I told him no plates and will have to boost it to take it. PLUS the asking price in cash. When arrived started her up I gave him all of my service invoices . . . IT had 376,000 km and he told me he was going to use HIS for parts and actually drive this one as it was in better shape. He brought a huge trailer and loaded her up and away she went.
  6. And no jail time, It must have been your smile Lew
  7. Pictures please! I bet if it didn't work you'd be looking for BIGGER CLIFF!
  8. darn Brian in the 70s out of Keswick the Americans used to take them home by the bushel, and we thought whata bunch of ... But then when I learned how they taste there was none to be found I did get one off of Oro and the CO wanted to take it to "test it" told him just some skin and I'll taste for you, they are good but you need a fair size one or a few small ones. But back then herring and trout 'under the ice' was the game
  9. Lew call Bell and tell them you are going to Rogers. works every time.
  10. I'm in advertising! Our clients go where their products are seen! With print, if you didn't read about it you missed it. Today we can't track your moves and wants. I'm looking for a specific gift and once I searched for it it comes up where ever I go! Even here!!! We may have to get used to looking at an ad before we get the information we actually want! Print may be gone in my lifetime. I used ro set ads in metal by hand in the 70s.
  11. Joey, YES you are. I haven't done any since my Pentax SLR went and film went out the door! I do have a camera collection and some of the old ones I got to work when film was available! My best is a 1904 bellows camera! I also have one made out of wood and it works too. But no film.
  12. Wayne, you and the family are incredible. I thought I went trough a lot with my wife having colitis and small children and it continued for 10 years (78-89) until they decided it was enough and operated with a 50/50 that it would work, it worked. I know the feeling, always hoped for the best, the only thing we can do. take care. A

  16. Waryne you are lucky man! A woman that doesn't read this forum or those acres you have she wants to take care of them! On a personal note, are the Manzone clad still in the business? I miss those boys!
  17. If you can get a serial/model number and look it up. See when it was made. . . Some people don't know how to store or maintain them and it can go either way. I've had a Craftsman since 1989 take good care of it and it has never failed , Have had the carb cleaned once. last week it went on the first pull:) Three years ago my neighbour tossed one 6hp 24 inch TMD if I recall correct. I took it on speck! Two flat tires and covered in dust and mouse crap. Oil was clean but wouldn't start. Emailed our in-house expert BIG CLIFF . . .i got the carb cleaned and ran like a charm, put tubes in the tires gave it wash and sold it for 350. I then asked another neiigbour why he had chucked it? Apparently he only used it two or three times and never brought it out again! I figured it's was poor storage on his part. And was selling the house.
  18. On a trip back 'home' and new wife in the car! on the hwy into Rome there were fires on the side of the road. I asked our driver why the fires? It seems the ladies of the evening picked their spot and while they wait out comes the pasta, serious on this. We just came home, nothing planned for dinner. Fresh tomato sauce in the fridge, put on penne for 11 minutes, drained and mixed in the sauce, added imported mild/hot eggplants (drained of some olive oil) Eating within 15 minutes of opening the door! Try buying that?
  19. Chances are when you signed up with rogers they gave old refurbished crap hardware!!! IMHO they are both criminals.. That's what Bell put in when I signed up!!!! and when I tried to cancel they told me I had a contract!!! I have put them on notice
  20. NO, NO. They have replaced 3 modems since May 15. They finally put one in that even the service guy asked how I got it! I was leaving . . .I had one "customer service guy" tell me to imput a new password which was a 38 digest number on the back of the modem, he learned some words they don't speak of. Ifnyou can spare an hour or so phone them

  22. I have my butcher prepare a pork shoulder (porchetta) trimmed wrapped with skin and spiced anyway you want it. It goes on my BBQ and rotates for 5 hours. If I could I'd post a picture I would, don't know how PM me and I'll send it . . . maybe I'll send it to Big Cliff
  23. Dave, I work with the owner's son this kid eats with a knife and fork everyday for lunch:) We also get it catered here at work once in a while. Amazing food. being Italian any good home cooked meals for me, wife is a fantastic cook and I'm a close second!
  24. Discovery just reported that they have one in a very dark and cold aquarium but don't expect it to live long. It seems odd how big it looks but it's only 3-5 inches long!
  25. YOU, Wayne MacGiver, could have found a way to convert that to battery power and used it as a back seat monitor in the boat or the ATV! What were you thinking? Krazy for sure.
