  2. I know the feeling. Sorry to hear.
  3. If you don't care about living don't wear it, every one has a choice, just like going out on thin ice. I haven't been in a boat in years! But a situation arose a few years back with a picture in a magazine article I was working on. The designer picked the shot, a rear shot of a guy going across a lake ina canoe with no life jacket. Beautiful shot, a far horizon and glass smooth water. The Tourism ministry complained that he wasn't wearing a jacket! Did not want to replace the shot so off I went and bought a life vest with the foam inside, beautiful adjustable and even as pockets, like a fishing vest ; shot it and photoshopped it on the guy's back:) Everyone happy! It stll hangs on my wall, never seen water!
  4. Coming through Woodbridge now, high winds and rain, shouldn't last long.
  5. Two people are dead and eight others injured following a moose-related collision on Highway 11 near Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday night, say RCMP. Police were called to the fatal crash shortly after 8:30 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicates a van was driving northbound on the highway when it collided with a moose, Sgt. Marco Papillon stated in a news release. It appears the driver of the van tried to avoid the animal and crossed the centre line, colliding head on with a truck carrying three adults and three children, he said. The 60-year-old man, who was driving the van, and a 62-year-old woman, who was his passenger, both died at the scene. Both victims are from Miramichi. A third vehicle drove off the road to avoid the crash, said Papillon. The other eight people involved in the crash were from Bouctouche and Pigeon Hill and were all taken to hospital. An RCMP reconstructionist was at the scene of the crash overnight and traffic was rerouted for approximately eight hours. The names of the deceased are not being released pending notification of their families. A team from the Department of Natural Resources removed the moose from the scene of the crash Friday morning and said it was approximately four years of age and weighed approximately 325 kilograms.
  6. Moose that are some amazing places, the closest I've been to Moose Factory is the Cochrane railway station station or in one of my tourism magazines! Way to go Lew, showing your age! You could have gone with Poleroid!
  7. Thanks I'll look them up. Thanks for all the replies. As for putting grease on the track, I was told that any sand or particles that is kicked up will stick to the grease and actually damage the track.
  8. As I mentioned it will be fine for a while and then go back to acting up Vance what kind of lub did you use. I was told many years ago NEVER put grease in the track! Cliff it was a super moon!
  9. Well this happens even in the dead of night lol
  10. Thanks Cliff It may be time to replace it as it's our main entry point and it gets used a LOT! But here is the problem. Here is my problem it happens more times than not A Sears model opener 1/2 hp about 13 years old, I have two, but this one door get used extensively, it's our main entrance . . . . Going up with a remote (in car) or push button outside or inside everything works fine. But on occasion(s) when I close it, it will go down and reverse right away OR go halfway and reverse this happens with all three wall inside, outside by the door and remote (in car) . . . I have aligned the sensors and they are free of any obstruction, I even cleaned the glass. If I hold down the wall-mounted units it will close every time L At times everything works fine for a while and then it goes back . . .
  11. Pm me and I'll share my situation. and if you are close maybe come and fix it. I'm in Woodbridge. Thanks
  12. Lew , when we go to work (well not you ) other people also go to "work" and help themselves! I'm like you they are scum and then some. I've only had my car looked at and they too my change. Where I live now we should be leaving our wallets in the driveway! But it will never happen, a few people down the road think we are easy pickings and when they need it they will come.
  13. Istant mashed potatoes I hear for field mice! I'm trying it now, they eat it and before they can digest it swells up and kills them!
  14. So far this year we have designed and printed 1.7 Million magazines and another 1.4 to come. This money is spent to attract tourist to Ontario. We don't need people like him th nit pick and drive them away! A warning woul shave been adequate.
  15. I smoked in my late teens and 20s. My work stated we could not smoke in the "darkroom" I developed film for advertising ads. that slowed us down and the final blow came in 1977 whe I was having my first child. NO MORE. I then had a few over the years but in 1982 it was my last. Brian do what you can to get rid of it. I have two son in laws who have the habit and are not allowd to smoke on my property and they are good with it! I told them no more butts on my lawan. Wish they would quit, not good for their kids. keep up the good work, it takes time but it can be done, I know. A

  18. You caught a fish Boss?
  19. I go from Woobridge to Vic Park and Steeles a pleasant drive across, no street cars bikers and pot holes:) 28km leave at 7:20 or so and sitting at my desk at 8:20 Return trip is 5 minutes longer most of the time but with construction on hwy 7 it can take longer some days. Better that driving to King and Dufferin Alway worked within a 30 km radius.
  20. I have lots if you need more. You have the perfect spot fot the logs shade and water.
  21. Cliff, you have to try growing mushrooms in hardwood logs shiitake and oyster. I have four logs going now no shrooms yet but looks promising by the fall. Once they catch on the logs last 4-5 years. PM me for more info if you want.
  22. How's the wine you get from that juice? I have been using it for 20 years and what I get is amazing. I live 10 minutes from the winery.
  23. Nice garden! I'd build a "green" way down there and use a itching wedge
