  1. Enjoy your day with family and friends.
  2. Be careful at the gas station also. I noticed something was wrong on a purchase I made. I NEVER purchase higher grade gasoline except for my garden stuff, lawn mower, snowblower. Because of long storage. . . I filled up last week and as I was putting away my receipt (I keep all of my gas purchases, have since 2016) I noticed on the last fill up (COSTCO) I purchased the expensive stuff (1.69 L) I always press the regular button. It could be that the pump did not make the switch from the previous purchase! I did not notice while filling up. It was only a half tank and it came to 52.00!!! just a thought.
  3. It sure is. Last week went in a NOFRILLS to buy zooms yellow/orange peppers for preserving. Decided to buy some peaches (6). I get home and they are $9.69! Can’t be. Rough math maybe $5or so. Went back and a woman told me to do the math!!! what the hell I DID THE MATH!!! Be careful, the price may be right at the stand but not at the register. Those prices are programmed and if they miss it YOU a pay extra. Who knows how many people did not check their receipt, especially if they had many items.
  4. Great looking tomato. I have had it happen two times also. One red and one yellow. In my case it never happened again. Have come close. I saved the seeds but could never duplicate it. We do preserve a “few” every year but they are store bought San Marsano variety. This year 10 bu gave us 200 jars.
  5. Happy Anniversary, many more ahead of you.
  6. I started in Typograpghy in ‘68. Set metal type by hand, points, picas, lines. . In 76 I got a new job and it was German equipment and it was in mm and picas, points. . . In 1990 the Mac came in and it changed the whole system again, got hired at an ad agency in ‘92. Kids had no clue how to set type only push buttons. I thought the old on the new for 20+years. Now I’m involved in preserving that history. Canadiantypography.ca we have to adapt or be left behind.
  7. Had it happen in Cochrane. No pics, nothing that size though. Bit and let go.
  8. I hear you Lew. I keep off the hay’s at all costs. When I go to Brooklin or Newmarket I take the country roads. Leave a bit early and have a pleasant drive, stop if I want to . . . As for the 407 our taxes paid for it and I have been on it twice. Once on the back of tow truck for car service and they sent me a bill!!!! yah right. In Jan I was going up the 400 after a hospital visit with my wife and somehow ended up on the 407! My next exit is PineValley, that cost me $10.50 for less than a minute. I would have gotten off at the 400 at Major Mac anyway. Glad you didn’t get hit.
  9. Hope it all works out well. My wife suffers from heart problems. Know all too well what she has been going through. 🥰🥰🥰
  10. In the early 2000s I worked/produced a guide by the MNR, Eating Ontario Sport Fish. I’m sure It was done for a few years and then they stoped printing it. Unless they have it digitally now.
  11. I have a 4500 champion which has never been used. I run it not often enough. 😒 I had a pony box installed and had my important items hooked up It. The Gen has its own wired box outside. Start and plug when needed. it keep it in a large patio storage box. No water or mice can get in. I have cut an opening where the exhaust is and can run it with the cover on.
