  1. When fishing off of trails watch for fire ants, spiders, snakes and other bigger things. I made the mistake once of going off trail over by Boca once in shoes socks and shorts. Was not a fun evening. So I would advise long pants. But that's just me.
  2. on Kijiji Ottawa area I am selling a 2007 14ft legend with a 1990 20hp yamaha and a 2004 shorelander trailer includes gas tank paddles and anchor trailer has new spare and winch/ strap please text me at 613 795 2872 DO NOT EMAILI
  3. In St. Martin try of the docks where the boats go to Pinel Island or off the rocks In Marigot. Check with Budget Marine in Cole Bay for fishing info. I bought a saltwater pole there and they were helpful with fishing info. Regards
  4. SHRIMP in saltwater on jigs, on plain hooks, on what ever. If wanting big fish use smaller fish cut up. Try to get to the mouth of the Hillsboro inlet. Buy salt water circle hooks. easier to remove. And saltwater leaders. Also surface baits in the canals if you can get access. Plyers don't forget them. and don't forget you have to buy both fresh and salt licenses, Regards
  5. The Independent. The Isis jihadist group has reportedly beheaded a teenage boy for listening to pop music and shot dead two others for missing Friday prayers, as part of a crackdown on personal freedoms in the group's Iraqi stronghold of Mosul There different groups in all populations but I am sure we don't want this culture in this country. I have worked with many different cultural identities. I have not met an issue yet. But the world is changing. And as proven in Ottawa we must be aware of this. Over a million refugees spreading out over the planet from the mid - east. .001 percent is what we need to watch for. Ask France about that one. Regards
  6. HSOUSA I know some may not like this but have you checked what kind of a Legend you could get for the same money ? Regards
  7. Well folks. I don't think we will have to worry about our overseas commitments much longer. I think Justin's "Personal Advisor" that he hired (and we are paying for) will take care of things. I guess now he can fire his cabinet and save Canada lot's of money http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/trudeau-hires-adviser-to-help-him-make-better-decisions/article28549451/
  8. Try C.A.S. Marine in Ayr Ont. Their website has an online parts guide. I will be buying my new seat there soon as their supplier is MFG in the U.S.A. Not China Regards
  9. I myself never used one. But at the corner of the road leading to my camp there is a house with 4 dogs. They chase the cars as they go by but never cross the line. I don't know if they know what it is but they are chewing on his house regards
  10. A scam they will take you half way through, then say to finish you have to pay. Be careful. The old adage "nothing for free in this world !!"
  11. Two big mother dogs !! Just open the door and say Din Din ! and turn on your yard lights. When you first look out the window you don't know how many there are out in the dark. My brother in law lives on his farm in the boonies, has a searchlight on dusk to dawn, lights up the whole area. Way up top of a pole. Preventive is the way to be. Regards

  13. My wife and I did the same. We flew to Moncton, stayed there for 2 days. Went to the Hopewell Rocks at both low and high tide. Amazing. To me anyways. Went over to Shediac NB ( Lobster) Then drove to Halifax stopping in the different towns on the way. From there did day trips, Luneberg for whale watching (no luck), Peggy's Cove another day. And spent days wandering around downtown. You have to go to the Alexander Keith's brewery/ museum. Night time downtown is another party. Lots to see and do. Then flew home from there. Enjoy.
  14. It is extremely sad that the one is dead and one is ruined. More then just them to blame. It seems the culture up on the mountain has to take the blame as well. If you take a drive into Sittin Bull there is a stripped pick up sitting in a front yard with a for sale sign on it. Now if this behavior was taken seriously by all authorities maybe situations like this would not occur. Regards
  15. Rick, Sorry to hear about your cat. Some say just a cat. But then what next? You hope nothing ever. Sorry to say.
  16. Looking at a week on the French and time at our trailer on the BOQ. Come on spring !!
  17. This may sound callus to some, but the world sucks Bull talks, money walks. For what he did there will be some deal worked out.
  18. Sometimes it helps to keep a Fox 40 whistle near the phone. One blast should do it
  19. Very nice, looking for something similar myself. Are you able to mount a two up seat on this? From what I have seen of your reports and where you live I see a lot of adventures coming you way. Enjoy.
  20. This sounds like my nephews car. Found out it was from the eastern seaboard of the USA. It had been swamped by Sandy. Your truck sounds like it took on water. Try a very close inspection of your interior. My nephew had sand in his door panels. I hope not but good luck.
  21. I too use one of these. I have two 750 am batteries and use a 2000 watt inverter. If lucky, will get 2 nights when using the humidifier. Then run the genny to charge the batteries back up. When colder or off season I run the genny all night. If you ask your doc he will tell you it is not good to use these dry. Not good for your sinus. At Canadian Tire once in a while they sell small whisper generators, 500, 750, 1000 watt. I am thinking to get one so I can run it every night and not disturb the neighbors at our trailer park. At Walmart 1000 Maximum Watts Pure Sine Wave Ultra-Silent 1000 Maximum Watts 800 Running Watts Inverter technology pure sine wave Safe for use on electronic equipment Up to 8.5 hours of run time at 50% load Ideal for powering: -household items at Walmart now. $188.00Good luck.
  22. beans push the digit to speak French, most can speak both if not ask for someone who can.
  23. My fav set up is to bring out a branch flexible about 5 ft long something that will move in the wind. Black or orange electrical tape and a quick strike rig. place the stick in a slush mound so the line is centered in the hole. drop a whole sardine (that you buy by the bag). so it is just under the ice, tape the line to the end of the branch. let the wind move it around some. Leave your bail open and your pole a good distance from the hole. try different depths as the day goes on or if you see them go by. Good luck.
  24. As I said lowest bidder. Just the way it works now.
  25. hwy 108 in, a short run, new hwy. No problems. Go north it turns into another hwy, #639, and then it goes north, west #546, then back south. All good road. I don't know about camping though. Lots of critters in the woods now that the spring hunt has been off for years. Elliot Lake does have modern hotels. Last time I was there we stayed at the Dunlop Lodge. Really should have gone to the Laurentian. They do have boat rentals. Nothing about the owners of the Dunlop, they had just taken possession and were working hard. Regards
