  1. NO NO NO NO TRANNYS ARE BAD ON BOTH CARS. THE AC SUCKS ON THE INTREPID. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAT IS WHY THEY RE-SELL CHEAP. IF HE HAS BOUGHT GOOD LUCK And yes it is in caps !
  2. phone the bylaw or SPCA and tell them there is a threatening dog on your property and the owners refuse to do anything about it. Say you are worried about childrens welfare. Better yet have your wife call and be having a crying /scared fit!!! Say you want it removed !!!
  3. Did you sign a contract that says no vacation ? If not are you are paying 4 % towards vacation? I would ask the boss why he feels you should not go, is it personal. If my guys had an oppertunity like this I am sure we could work something out. Good luck.
  4. Knife, first aid kit, pliers. boot cleats
  5. This may sound stupid but have you really checked to see if your fan blades are moving? It sounds like as you move warm air is being forced in.
  6. Yes , your right. And when it got way cold the rack would shrink and the cannon balls would fall out and roll around. I am glad my truck has a block heater.
  7. Does anyone know what is behind the saying " cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey ? Answer to follow.
  8. Hi Cliff, I haven't had the chance to meet you but from what I am reading there is going to be one sorry business man out there soon. Also looks like things will work out for you. regards.
  9. Fish Finder Charters in Bellville. they have a web site. good luck.
  10. I don't know if you will see this. When at St Martin see how much time you have and rent a car or taxi. Go to the north end of the island. Marigot or Grand Case (great food) also the beach on the north east. Check out. www. st martin.com. Have fun.
  11. In St Martin the boat docks at Phillipsburg. There are two ways into town. You can walk from the boat or take a punter to the town dock. It is a fair walk to town. If you take the punter once you get off the dock there will be a Burger King on your right. Try to get there early as when I was there there were 5 ships and all the people arrived at once. I recomend a Tilly hat and a white shirt. It is hot down there. There is jewlery in most every shop with deals to be had, make a ridicules offer then see what happens. There is Front St and then Second St. There are good deals on Second St. Buy 3 t-shirts and get a beer free. You can have fun there and also the cigars are a good price. Plus a No Tax Island. By the way very hot take or buy water or beer. very very hot !!! Have fun.
  12. I know what you mean Lew. Saturday out shopping a little snow and slush, I am at a yeild waiting for traffic, just let off the brakes, touch the gas and BUMP. Look in my mirror at a big white van. I get out, he gets out and says " I couldn't stop, I had my brakes locked" and I said to him IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR!!! SLOW DOWN !!! Come on people pay attention, it can save your life.
  13. The time I was up there I marked fish all over. If you have a high speed depth finder you might want to travel around some and check some of the island points right in the bay. At Five Fingers there is an island to the south. Troll between it and the shore. Lots of weeds with some shallow spots, you never know what is lurking in there. Also go up the river if you can get under the bridge tossing spinner baits. At the top at night time there are some large fish in there. Good luck.
  14. Hope to get out this weekend. Make sure your license is valid
  15. I may head down on Sunday. I have asked Fishmaster if he still has minnows. With the rain I figure muddy anyways.
  16. Well back fro Punta Cana. It was a great way to spend a week. On the beach, 30 degrees and sunny every day. I was not able to do any fishing though. The charters were not something I was interested in and it is just all beach with thousands of people. I did see one guy tossing a hand line a night once. Being a Riu resort (of which there are five beside each other) the prices for any activity is high. If you take the family bring your credit card. Also when bringing booze back put it in your checked luggage as you cannot carry it on the plane. As soon as I download some pics I will add a couple. Happy New Year all.
  17. Hey folks, only 2 days to go. Has anyone actually done any fishing in Punta Cana ? Just wondering?
  18. Steve_Paul, no I do not know who they were. We took a chance with some guy selling on the beach. But I did not pay until I was on the boat. He was cheaper then what the hotel was going to hook us up with. They picked us up, food and booze was included. They took six of us out right from Porta Plata. But take the rum runner trip while you are there if you get a chance.
  19. 10 speed bike down at the Hamilton bay. Covered in zebra mussels.
  20. Sirfish, we are leaving this Sat and returning on the 31st, at like 1 am. I am looking forward to this I just fear of hooking into something large. I guess an extra spool of line would be a good idea. Jeffw, I have done some casting in Florida but all we caught was sea trout, bones would be interesting. I really don't know but if I catch something do you think a 5 star would cook it up? We are staying at the Riu Taino. This should be a blast. Lots of pics to be posted of both the beach and fish I hope! Does anyone know where you can buy terminal tackle down there in case my pole explodes ?
  21. Hey folks, my wife and I and some freinds have decided to do Christmas in Punta Cana. I am taking down a medium collaspible rod and some basic tackle, jigs, spoons, rattletraps. Does any one know some spots down there where I could do some casting? piers, rocks? Also is there any bass fishing there and are there any regulations I should know about? I may also do a deep sea charter as well, cost depending. Last time I was in Porta Plata I did a charter and ended up with a 7 ft sailfish. It was a blast. Any info would be appreciated and I wll be taking the camera to post pics when I get back. Happy HO HO to all
  22. The way I look at it is I know what I am eating !!! Cooking is my domain, the wife does most of the cleanup. I couldn't live without a good BBQ>
  23. I have fished the lake a few times and I know the bays at the south end pretty good. If you send me a pm with a map of where you are staying I could point out some spots. Let me know.
  24. If you are flying Westjet the tube for your rods is a no cost piece. Just make sure it is well labled. Put your reels and hooks in your luggage or buy your hooks/jigs down there. My self I used jigs and plain hooks with slip sinkers. I found with snook and sea trout I did not need leaders but if you have mid weight florocarbon I would use it. Make sure to rinse your stuff off. Oh and I just took my medium action stuff but put heavier line. Check about buying your license, I belive it is one for saltwater and one for freshwater, unless things have changed. Oh also rappilin redfins. Good luck
