I don't like any of those lakes for musky. Of all the kawartha's, they would be way down at the bottom of my list for sure. Sorry, but that's my opinion of them. For another half hour drive you could be on some much nicer lakes IMO. S.

I check all my nuts and bolts every spring the first time I take the boat off the trailer. Once and a while you find a loose one. S.

I was away the last 5 days, but had a friend collect my sap. I wasn't expecting anything because the over night lows didn't look low enough, but I came home to 200l collected, and still have a lot of buckets on trees that are half full. I'm hoping to get another 100l when I collect tonight. So far have only boiled once. 100l that yeilded 2.5L of syrup. Nice golden colour to it though. Love the first batch! I will be boiling the next two days non stop. S.

Lowrance. Hands down. No question. I have both and cannot stand the birds. I will take an older lowrance over a new bird any day. I just can't get a bird to do what my lowrance units do. Sure you pay more, but you get what you pay for. I also know a few people with broken down humminbirds. I still have the first lowrance I ever bought, and it works just as good as it did when I bought it. I use it for ice fishing. S.

I have an ez loader that's been good since 93. I have put a new axle in it, but mostly because I wanted the peice of mind. Galvanized for sure. I would never buy a steel trailer again. S.

Mine has eaten all the usual stuff but never anything really memorable. My brothers boxer swallowed a lacrosse ball whole. Had surgery to remove it, then swallowed the same ball again! My bro kept the ball on a shelf as a keepsake aftwr the first surgery, and allie somehow fot it! My lab right now wont eat carrots or oranges. Anything else is gone in one gulp. A hamburger from mcdonalds is just one inhale and its gone..... S.

I dunno, I think death is brutal and vicious any way it happens. This crap will never fly anyways. Its simple fear mongering. These yahoos make this stuff up and expect people to follow suit, but they forget that the other 90% of the planet are somewhat normal. S.

I just moved to this place in June. Only have one neighbour, and they are total country folks who fish and hunt as much as I do. They also like to have a good time, so we get along great. WE have already spend a weekend at their cottage. Great people. We are very lucky. Bad neighbours suck. S.

We are running here now, but have no overnight lows coming to keep it flowing. What I collect today could very well be the end of it for me. This winter has sucked so bad for conditions!!!!!! GRRRR! We collected 120l two weekends ago, collected 110l last night, and hope to have the mother of all runs today. 146 taps....most I've ever had out, and the least amount of sap EVER. Crazy. I hope we can get a couple more runs in but its not looking good for me here. I guess I will get the boat ready.... S.

We have a stray cat that hangs around my work that will not come inside no matter what you do. She will sit by the door and cry for attention, but she will not go past the door. S.
