The weather companies do nothing but cry wolf. Like seriously, was there a need to interrupt my TV show and text my cell phone about a bit of rain? Every little bit of rain we get is forecast to be the end all storm these days. I'm sick of the false warnings. S.

Migratory birds act is federal. Thats where the protection comes from, no? S.

Hes in vancouver. The sturgeon fishing is a blast. Do we have giant sea run white sturgeon in ontario? Didnt think so....lol Salmon there are the same as here. Ours might even be bigger on average. S.

Hot outside and so is the fishing (BROOK TROUT)

I run the bigger gang trolls on lead core. Each colour gets you down about 5 ft....maybe a bit more with the big thumpers.....but its a good way to repeat the same presentation. Pretty basic set up, but its worth its weight....caught me lots of trout. S. -
Try the fraser river for sturgeon. You can catch all the salmon you want right here in your back yard. Same fish. Can't catch sturgeon here.....legally. S.

Personally, I don't like the LED light bars. They are too bright, and just blind everything except where they shine. IF you need to see something to the side of the boat, good luck, you are blind from the LED bars. They also spook every bird in the marsh. I'm not a fan at all. I've tried all the lights there is when it comes to duck hunting, and the best, for me, is a 5 million candle power spot light that plugs into the boat. It only shines where I want to see, and it never dies. I've been let down by every kind of rechargeable spotlight there is. I won't waste my money on any more of them. For the most part, I like to run with just running lights and a head lamp, but the spot light is used for some navigation here and there, and is always kept within arms reach. Its nice to find distant marker buoys, or long distance landmarks. A quick flash of the light is all thats needed. S.

Im not enjoying this season as much as the rest ( I still watch them though). Some of the participants aren't so bright. The guy who ate the leeches is a little slow. He obviously knows not a single thing about fish, or fishing, as he can't catch squat. He had the perfect bait to catch some fish, and ate it.....DUH!! The other guy, Dave I believe, has a breakdown every time he kills something. That's not going to go over well when/if he gets a deer. He seems fairly resourceful otherwise, I kind of hope he wins now. The dude who built the log cabin has my vote, but I'm not sure he can handle it mentally....time will tell. I have been shaking my head a lot with this seasons participants. S.

Minn Kota Terrova Size for Princecraft Resorter BT
Sinker replied to Spanky80's topic in General Discussion
Keep in mind this boat is a tiller, so a gas tank and 2 batteries, plus the operator is a lot of weight at the stern of the boat. I keep my batteries about 1/3 of the way to the bow of my boat, on the port side, opposite of where I sit to run the tiller. Two 31DC Batteries are pushing 150lbs. Where I have them, they don't get pounded in waves, but they aren't so far back that they add too much weight at the stern. My fuel tank is on the opposite side, just forward of my seat. S. -

I hear you, but 60" is a lot of shaft to deal with when the motor isn't in the water. It makes mounting harder, because you have to account for that super long shaft on the bowmount. Mine is 48, and my boat is deep. I have never had an issue with rough water with mine. It will pop out of the water the odd time on a big breaking wave, but for the most part its fine. A 60" would be a pain in the arse to deal with when its not deployed. The boat he has isn't a very big boat. Narrower than mine, and not as deep. S. -
Nicely done! Thanks for the report. I always enjoyed your reports. S.

I've used them many times. I know how well they work, but I thought we were talking about which graph to buy? I'm just saying that having the bowmount networked to your graph isn't all its cracked up to be.....just my opinion. I have seen many times where it is nothing but a head ache when things dont want to work right. I am a simpler is better kind of guy, and i do just fine that way. I didn't say I didn't like ipilot though....never....not even once lol.... i love it. S.

^ these are pretty much my thoughts. The 60" shaft is really long. Mine is 48 and its plenty long on my deep and wide 16footer. My 12v 55lb runs forever, but I run it off 2 batteries. Its plenty of power really. The only time I'd want more power is if I want to troll faster with it. Right now I can run 2 mph. For regular boat maneuvering it has plenty of Jam....even in big winds. S. -
Not for me, its not there??? .....Id be interested in knowing the size though if I wanted to buy them.

I have a 55lb on my 16ft starcraft wide body tiller and it does the job, but an 80 would be ideal. S. -
Best place on the planet. You would have driven right past my dads house on your way to lanse-aux-meadows. Where are the pics from there? Heck, you may have been on his yard, as he gets non stop tourists at his place (St.Lunaire-Giquet, White Cape Harbour). Too bad you didn't get to jig a few cod! Did you get screeched in at least?? I am now officially home sick! My son just got home from 2 weeks at pops. Lucky brat! LOL S.

You didn't mention the tire size.....?? Great deal for someone for sure. Those are great tires too. I loved the ones I had on my subaru. S.

Open carry would change a lot of things. Do you think illegal guns would be carried openly? I agree stiffer penalties is the only solution. Nail these guys for life. Why not? If your dumb enough to use an illegal gun in a crime, you shouldn't be allowed back on the streets. Most of these guys don't get any charges under the firearms act anyways. Its just there to please the anti gunners. S.

My Ram is averaging 12.9L/100km on 40, 000km. 2017 Hemi. I tow a trailer a lot, obviously, summer and winter, at least once a week, usually 3 or more times. S.
