I've always disliked the whole idea of tournaments. From the start of BASS many years ago, it just degrades the sport IMO.

Beauty pic, everytime I have seen one it has been sitting at eye level in a clump of evergreens. They are unbelievably tiny , under 8 inches and extremely tame.

sail had the 95sv on for $999 down from $1499 i couldn’t find it cheaper at any other retailer. also rakuten had a 10% cash back bonus on items purchased online from sail so I pulled the trigger on getting a Garmin force and got $400 back black friday ain’t what it used to be but there were some great deals I saw you just had to dig hard. the perfect jig also had some fantastic deals on tungsten. Rah fish was absolutely blowing out their inventory. They had touques for like $5 or something im sure these deals are still here for cyber Monday. Look to the manufacturers rather than the retailers for deals on tackle. you won’t find great deals on non high end tackle because prices are set and the markup isn’t as high.

Livewell fish care is learned and with constant angler turn over is a problem. With no fish care penalty's the fish where good when handed to organizer. So the organizer had a weak plan. Likely not what was on his permit. All dead fish should be handed back to anglers and penalty's applyed.

Yammy hands down no question. Have you ever met an unhappy yamaha owner? I haven't. All my stuff is yammy, and I have never been let down, never had a single issue with any of it. Sleds, bikes, and outboards......even guitars, speakers, PA systems....lol S.

NOBODY uses Mercs or prefers them in the remote parts of Northern Ontario and Arctic where I've worked and lived. Wait... I take that back, I've seen two or three I think in 20 years. It's all Yamaha and Honda with the odd Rude where reliability is needed most, if it was Merc, then I'd surely think that many people in the northern communities with less money to go around would choose them.

Yamaha by a long lead. Honda a tight second. they don't call Mercs black anchors for nothing, they're even too cheap to throw in the anchor line.

I think it's time this practice was abolished, no need to play this type of game with nature just for profit and bragging rights.

I have a 4 horse that I put on the back of my 18 footer when travelling to the East arm of Great Slave in case I have any issues with the main. With the 4 horse my boat tops out at 7 MPH but it pushes it along quite well.
